Can it be a fictionalized or fantasy version of a country?

would

it takes place in a pub - and is a mystery based around the pub's trivia night

As long as it's meant to be an actual country, it's fine if it's a fictional version... but don't use.. say, Middle Earth or Velaris, :)

Mmmm... is the mystery involving a murder by nachos, yes. If it's just set in a pub, no.

Egypt with djinns, yes, Narnia, no. Got it!
Thank you.

Will "Time Travel" work for Travel or does it need to just be Travel?
example:

The fae celebrations of the change of seasons and how detailed and grand they were in the past. And some discussion where the Fae high court has to make rulings on what each seasons ruling body are allowed to do or not do.

Read a translated book or one originally written in another language.
Is the only option a book that was written in a llanguage other than our own.
Or does translated book, mean a book that is published in multiple languages?
If I read a book oringinally published in english (my language), but it's also published in 2 other languages, does that count?
sorry, it's the OR that's tripping me up.
my other thought is read a book that's not translated, and not in my language? Just want to make sure I do it right.

Sorry, I guess that OR is confusing. The spirit of the task is to read a book that was originally written in a language other than your first (or only), and was translated.

Alyana, I would consider this a review, so do please link to that for the Review Bonus Points. However, I wouldn't consider this a creative post. Perhaps if you added some silly images or gifs to emphasis your confusion or dislike?
You can use the image html, just remove the spaces I added:

Jenny wrote an "ode" to her BR book, maybe you could write a Haiku about how much you disliked yours!!

Would a fantasy world/place be okay for country I've never visited or characters on a journey across cultures, borders, or identities?

For this task:
✈️ Read a book where someone has to use their passport (or mentions one).
Does it have to be said in the text that they show their passport or does it count as long as they travel to another country?

I know we normally use the default edition of a book we read if we're listening to the audio, but mine is a little funny. I just finished Le Morte d'Arthur: King Arthur and the Legends of the Round Table, the default of which is 512 pages.
However, that is for a different "translation" of the book by Keith Baines. I'm listening to the original Caxton version, which is twice as long (the Baines is a simplified version for modern audiences).
Do I still use the default for this, or can I use page count for a Caxton version instead (the audio is 37.5 hours long)?
Thanks!
Benedict - it doesn't have to be explicitly mentioned, it can be implied, e.g. international travel through an airport. Now, teleporting or illegal, clandestine travel, no, 😂
Sammy, you can use the correct edition for your translation.

If everyone can please make sure their Team sheet is up to date (to July) by August 5th, that would be great! Add in your reviews, BR links, if you have a creative post, you have until then to do it and let me know! Thank you!

Setting Maine (United States), Bangkok (Thailand), Istanbul (Turkey)
I planned to buddy read it for passport but I have had a difficult time finding V books, so I'd rather use my V book but still get points for this one if you approve the setting for the prompt.
