Hiya, Team Caps! Thanks for volunteering to guide your team through a round of BookShelf Bingo! Your job, should you choose to accept it, will require a few things:
1 ~ Be our go-to person should we have any questions about your team
2 ~ Organize your teammate's weekly reads for each shelf/category so that the BSB Ninjas can quickly and easily verify and approve your stamp request(s)
2a ~ Create a master list in a post (preferably on the first page of your team's thread) and update it weekly or as often as necessary
2b ~ Post your team's stats on the Captain's Log prior to requesting a stamp
3 ~ Encourage and motivate your team (you may also ask to borrow Judithe's whip whenever necessary)
4 ~ Post regularly to ensure your team is communicating and on track each week
4a ~ Send them a PM and friendly poke if they haven't posted at least once a week, noted their book choice, and/or appear to have dropped out of webspace
5 ~ Send us a PM (Steph or Sandra) should you need us for any reason throughout the game

Hey ladies! The first shelf was announced Wednesday! The Shelf is Nat'l Food Day and it's any book with food on the cover!!! Get your selections in soon! Also we need to get our Free Space in too! If you're not sure what to select the rules are listed on the BSB link. If there's any questions please feel free to reach out! If I haven't heard from you guys by tomorrow I'll be messaging you. The last round I played went quick so it's best to try and stay ahead!

Review: Why does there have to be a possibility of a love triangle? 🤦🏽♀️
Anyway, Katie comes to Savannah to work with her aunt and uncle, Lucy and Ben at the Honeysuckle Bakery. An old battle ax is murdered, and the #1 suspect is Ben. Katie seems to think the police need help so she is on the case.
Along with attempting to find another viable suspect, besides her uncle. She finds out she's a witch.
It seems really criminal to me that no one informed her of this in her entire life. Especially since it didn't say anything about them suppressing her powers in some way that would keep her from unknowingly hurting someone all these years.
I didn't think this story was bad, but I know I'm not going to rush off to read book 2, unless I can use it for a reading challenge. 😂

Guys... Is it just me or for the second shelf announcement there's no category? I know it says reader's choice, but on the bingo card there is no reader's choice stamp.
It's National Book Month, Steph forgot to add it. I let her know but she hasn't been on her computer since.

Review:
Quinn is a middle aged mother who decides to open her own coffee shop. Very early on she founds out some pretty horrible things about her husband, and is then being haunted by a ghost. This book was cute and pretty fast paced, but not my cup of tea. I'm not really a mystery person I guess. I liked the paranormal aspect of it and the end did leave an opening that could be intriguing for following books, but due to that it was only a three star book I probably won't be continuing on with the series. I did like the main character though. She was grounded and realistic but also optimistic. So overall not bad but it didn't blow my socks off.
I am seriously hating my Free Space book. I'm about half way through and it's going so slow, but I'm going to power through. I hope you ladies aren't having a terrible time of it like myself lol

Review:
I really liked this book! I loved Kitty and thought majority of the time she was smart except for every once in a while she would lose her temper, but it was warranted in every situation. Some of the things she put up with I would lose my cool as well. The story was fast paced and had some good side characters and the mystery was good as well. My big gripe is that there was some very rapey type vibes and also a lot of physical abuse from her pack including her alpha. I listened and I enjoyed the narrator. I will definitely be reading more once BSB is over.

How Fits: PNR
Review:
Boone has just discovered that his father has been killed and has been pulled off rotation and is helping Butch with a murder case. He meets Helena and is attracted to her and they start a relationship. Their relationship is moving quicker than even they imagine. They are dealing with the murder of her sister and them starting a relationship that is new and scary to the both of them. J.R. Ward draws you into the story line and then everything is revealed, no big hoopla it just happens. I enjoy having the BDB in the story, any glimpse is a good one.
