Review:
I really liked this book! The MCs were lovable and dynamic and the side characters were cute and added to the story. I've read other books by this author but that was years ago. The male lead was definitely a book boyfriend type of guy. He was strong, thoughtful, compassionate, caring, and extremely sweet. The story was light majority of the time but had some pretty dark moments as well. I loved the ending and I will for sure be reading more after BSB is over.

I HATED THIS BOOK! Hate isn't even a strong enough word! If it wouldn't have been for BSB this book would have been a DNF within the first 30 pgs. The MCs were so toxic and chaotic and ridiculous. The male lead was controlling and demeaning in the worst way. He didn't listen to a thing the MC said. And the MC.... DEAR BABY JESUS SAVE ME!!!! The dumbest chick I've ever had the misery of reading. I honestly have no clue how this got on the best of list. Reading this book was worse than having to pluck out my eyelashes one by one. My strong advice... don't even bother with this swill.

I know I started that book many years ago and DNF. If it was so crap after 30 pages, you would've been better off ditching it and finding something better to read.
There are over 5,000 books on the SOS Bookshelves to read. We don't want anyone reading something worth less than 1 star Cheri. It's supposed to be fun.

Review: One of my favorites of the series. Madisyn is a kickass heroine, and I was all for it. She is the main reason this book gets 5 stars.
I love that she could literally kick ass and stand up for herself against anyone, she didn't lie to herself or try to fight against what she know is right.
Bracken was the same. Once they realized that they had a connection neither tried to shy away from it even though it was unexpected.
The growth of their bond was on point.
Then they had to deal with the idiots who wanted to come up against them. So there was a lot of action surrounding those interactions. Definitely never a dull moment between the hot sex and the fighting.

The retelling of My Familiar Stranger but from Rams point of view. You get to see how Ram became who he is and his younger years. Victoria Danann did a good job of telling the same story at a different POV.

Review: Makayla Lane, Jericho Barrons, Dani O'Malley/Jada, The Sinsar Dubh, Cruce, Unseelie King, Christian MacKelter, Ryodan, etc...
I don't think I really appreciated everything that happens in this book the first time around. Honestly, I may have forgotten a lot of it until I read it again now.
I remembered that the dark book did some despicable things while out in the world in this book, the people that didn't make it because of it, but I didn't remember the details, so I wasn't prepared.
The last time I said it was disconcerting when it went from 1st person to something else, but I was so engrossed this time that I didn't even notice the shift.
At the end I read that last passage with Mac & Barrons, before a truth that I wasn't surprised by was revealed, over and over again just to let in really sink in. Hopefully I won't forget it again.

Wynter and her "crew" made this book. They are just trying to survive and will stop anyone who gets in their way. This oddball crew will keep you entertained. Wynter falls for Cain but with all the secrets that they are keeping from each other you don't know what will become of this strange relationship. The book ends not on a cliffhanger but just ends.

Review: This book includes both Christmas Pride (Mace/Dez) & Shaw's Tail (Brendon/Ronnie)
I wanted to start off with the good. I laughed quite a bite while reading this book. Both stories had a lot of good banter that had me in stitches. They also had strong female characters which is always a plus and really hot sex scenes, which are a bonus.
It was a good opening to how the prides work in Shelly Laurenston's world and gives us some insight to their relationships to other types of shifter communities.
I have to admit that I haven't read a lot of feline shifter romance, but the ones that I have didn't quite work like this, so I was a little taken aback at first, but I got used to it, especially after reading Shaw's Tail.
I loved the description in the sex scenes but kept thinking to myself that they hardly ever thought of anything but sex when there was so much more supposedly going on. Like family drama and a killer.
I'm curious enough to see where this will all lead, so I'll definitely read another book in the series.

Review: I love this world that Suzanne Wright has created. So far we've had the Mercury and Phoenix packs, and that is where we first met Alex. I don't remember Bree, but I guess it's a possibility that she came up also.
I loved the fact that this had two people who weren't fated mates but choose one another and imprinted instead. The story behind why they were not with their mates was believable and played a part in the plot of this story. I really liked the fact that in Suzanne Wright's world imprinting is just as solid as a traditional mating and that she doesn't make it seem like you are going to automatically like or even love the person that you are fated to mate.
With all my gushing why didn't I give it 5 stars? Well, that's because I figured out the mystery of it all before it was revealed. If Ms. Wright has kept me in suspense until the end this would have definitely gotten 5 stars.

Review: I am slowly but surely warming up to Anna and Charles as this series continues. I already love Bran from his appearances in the Mercy Thompson series.
My favorite thing about this series thus far is how much Charles loves Anna. He is with her as he is with no one else, and he will do anything in his immense power to protect her, but Anna is not a shrinking violet even after all she went through in her first pack. She is an Omega and she is still learning what that means. Through that and all the things that comes her way by being connected to Charles and Bran she is also steadily discovering what she is capable of and becoming stronger in the process.
Communication is key, and I love that she and Charles are open with each other verbally, even though Charles is prone to blocking her out of their bond to try to protect her. He is always conscious of the fact that she was abused after she was changed and what that may mean for her mentally, while also not getting in the way of her needs or wants.
We saw how strong Anna was in the first book. She defeated a witch that had the strongest wolves under her thrall. We get to see her in action again and it's even better because with every challenge she grows more confident in herself and in the bond that she and Charles are building.
