I have not gone back and looked over my reads for this year. I will say that this book in my opinion is a "10". "I Kill Killers" I loved it.

It's a tie between "Murder Among the Dead" by Irina Shaprio and "Murder at the Merton Library" by Andrea Penrose. I love reading Regency and Georgian mysteries.
Sandralena wrote: "The Final Empire in the Mistborn series by Brandon Sanderson. It's as epic a series as Tolkien's Lord of the Rings."Just finished it today and was going to post the same thing. It was fantastic.
I read so many good books but my favorites are by far Silver Under Nightfall by Rin Chupeco, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid, and The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller
I can't choose between The Secret History by Donna Tartt, and The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephan Chbosky
Well, I reread the Hunger Games series(for the tenth time) to prepare for the Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes movie. Still one of the best book series.
Carrying Independence. Read for a book club and NEVER would have chosen it, but it was very good - lots of American history in the Revolutionary War.
I really enjoyed Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine. It got 11/10 for me. Also in Graphic Novels, In, was beautiful, another 11/10. I am doing a 100 book in 2023 challenge and am up to 97. I have read some great books this year, and some duds. Square of Sevens got 9.5/10. If you love twists, you should love that book.
I can’t choose !! I have a top three: The House in the Cerulean Sea (TJ Klune); Fourth Wing (Rebecca Yarros); Divine Rivals (Rebecca Ross)
I am a romance girlie at heart and something abt Archer's Voice and for like fantasy... fourth wing ikik its iver hyped but I loved it lmao

Never thought I would cry over a crime.
And "he" deserved better.
the invisible life of addie larue ( I've read so many great books this year and can't just pick one)
Is would have to be Hummingbird Salamander by the master Jeff Vandermeer Hummingbird Salamander which I listened to on audiobook - LOVED this one. Also A Registry of My Passage upon the Earth by Daniel Mason which was a total surprise, as I randomly picked it up from the library. A Registry of My Passage upon the Earth: Stories
And the short story collection by Karen Russell, Vampires in the Lemon Grove — wow, just wow. Vampires in the Lemon Grove: Stories
(English)I'm now reading Cell written by Stephen King,...if you're into post-apocalyptic stuff, this is your book.
I really enjoyed reading The Alaska Sanders Affair written by Jöel Dicker.

No way I can do just one…..so here are four of my faves. The Housemaid by Freida McFadden (Psychological Thriller)
Yours Truly by Abby Jimenez (Rom-Com)
Still Beating by Jennifer Hartmann (Contemporary Romance)
A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khalid Hosseini (Historical Fiction/Domestic Fiction)
I read Ray Bradbury's Dandelion Wine and was just amazed at how beautifully written it is. I first listened to the audiobook, which was great, then read the text, because I wanted to be able to really focus on it.
Mine is -Such Kindness- by Andre Dubus III. Unfortunately, it does not seem to have garnered much attention…
Mine is a tie between Divine Rivals by Rebecca Ross and Your Blood, My Bones by Kelly Andrew. Both made me cry, but I cannot get the stories out of my head!!!
Slewfoot: A Tale of Bewitchery Basically Salem witch trials. Absolutely LOVED it.
The Darkness Outside Us
Sci-fi, thriller, romance (very little, but there). The story was unreal and unexpected. I went in thinking cheesy romance, boy was I wrong.
Yours Truly by Abby Jimenez, is at the top. There's too many to choose! Hello Beautiful, Pine River, Out on a Limb....
A toss-up between The Disordered Cosmos and The Golden Ticket--both are expressively written, compelling in their messaging, and written by women.
Returning Home to Her by Jutta Swietlinski - a romantic, heartfelt, dramatic, insightful, profound read!
