I finished Whalefall by Daniel Kraus and was surprised how deeply this heart wrenching story touched me. 4 Stars My Review.
I'm not a huge fan of horror and after reading this, I don't really consider it "horror". There are two stories of survival going on here, and it's the boy Jay's emotional, heartbreaking story stemming from a dysfunctional father/son relationship that spoke to me. I couldn't put it down.

I read Blood Sisters by Vanessa Lillie and was totally consumed by it! If you only read one book for Native American Heritage Month, make it this one! I'm so excited to hear the author plans to write a series featuring this unique character. 5 Stars My Review
BLOOD SISTERS is a dynamic, engrossing, heart touching suspense thriller that's highly addictive as well as eye-opening, and it's clear it comes straight from the heart of the author.

I finished Perfect Shot by Steve Urszenyi and was highly impressed by this debut crime thriller. 4 Stars My Review
PERFECT SHOT, with its female lead character, is a breath of fresh air in the male dominated genre of military style thrillers with Alex coming across as a highly intelligent, take no prisoners heroine with admirable skills seldom seen in female leads in the genre.
