Thanks, Andy. I decided to read The Scarlet Letter this side of the New Year, and not as part of the challenge. Yup, I agree it has nothing to do with witchcraft. I also found it disappointing.

I decided to put The Hobbit under Celestial Lore because I already have Quest and because the Moon Letters and the particular day that a certain something is revealed are absolutely critical. And I don't imagine I'll read anything else that qualifies.

Do we count children's books? I have a great witch one, The Time of the Witch by Mary Downing Hahn.And actually I do believe we should all read (reread) The Secret Garden and count it for Plant Lore. ;)
I think I should count Dangerous Spaces by Margaret Mahy for Descent into the Underworld. Surely that's where the girls' 'dreams' take place....
Spirit Hunters by Ellen Oh is a new book I recommend for ppl looking for diversity for their kids. It's a ghost story so I can't use it though.
