Just so I don't get pulled up for my incorrect totals in the previous post. :)

30.1 - Jonquil's Task: Straight on Till Morning - Book 1 In solidarity with these new graduates, read a book with a roller coaster, carousel or Ferris wheel on the cover. The pictured ride should appear to be carnival-sized, not a toy, miniature, music box, snowglobe, etc. As shown on the covers below, just a portion of the roller coaster, carousel or Ferris wheel is acceptable if the other criteria are met.

Book 2 Shifting from full time student to full time employee is a huge life change. Read a book where the Main Character has made a major career change. This must be a completely new (paid) profession, not just a promotion, new employer, undercover assignment or a hobby. Fiction and non-fiction will work.
In the Garden of Beasts: Love, Terror, and an American Family in Hitler's Berlin In which William Dodd goes from mild-mannered Chicago history professor to become the U.S. Ambassador to Germany. - I started this a month or so ago, got a couple chapters in and abandoned it. I re-started from go for this challenge & finished it this time :D
