**Remember to use the first edition Kindle page count only! If your page count comes from a Kindle edition published on the initial publication date on the editions page, it will count. If your page count comes from a Kindle edition labeled '1st edition', it will count. If your page count comes from the earliest dated English language Kindle edition, it will count. I am looking for one of those three things when confirming your books! As long the page count you list is correct, I will accept any link to the book. Ebook page count will be acceptable if no Kindle page count available. The acceptability of other page counts will be made on an individual basis.**

I think most of you know each other, at least a little, but feel free to introduce yourself again. Please give any relevant information, especially time zone as that helps know when it is best to communicate. 😊Please select a team leader to help keep track of where your team is in any given task. And as necessary guide discussions for task decisions. Any teammate can report your completions though.
Remember, it is the team's responsibility to notify the host (me) if a teammate fails to complete the task in a timely manner or otherwise goes missing! I am not checking all the team threads regularly to notice and may only check when notified a task is complete.

Hi....I am Benita a.k.a. One Sentence Audio Critic. I am a semi retired university prof. I read tons of historic romance. I blame Diana Gabaldon. I did her books when I got tired of waiting for the season of Outlander that aired this year. I got addicted and now, most days, do several books. I live in Alabama, so Central Time Zone.

Hi all. I’m Jean and am a retired accountant. Thankfully my husband and I decided in 2018 to hang our hats up before Covid! I have two grown daughters living and working in the DC area, two rescue sister cats, Kim and Kourtney, that get to leave toys all over the house and I volunteer 3 afternoons a week for charity. I read mostly romance, thrillers and mystery, historical fiction and general chick lit.I have updated the tasks we need to make decisions on in our group, please check it out. We need to at a minimum look at the first grouping so we are ready to go when the first task is announced. I also have a listing of potential group names but I am not the most creative person so any ideas are welcome! (accountants are good at logic, are task and goal oriented, and organized but not so much creative)
I can take this challenge as a competition or just for fun which ever the rest of the group wants to do and will take my lead from you but I will warn you my nature leans to competition. I am happy to be the group leader if no one else wants the task.
I also just wanted to let you guys know that I am going to be out of town next weekend the 16th-18th so I probably won't be able to post on here as much as I would like to that weekend.

Hi everyone! Sorry I'm late to the party! I too live on the East Coast in CT, where I work at my local library. Lately I've been spending more time exclusively reading RH and around this time of year more thrillers and horror than normal. Looking forward to this challenge :)

Romantic suspense, likable characters, good story line, I even like books that continue with the same characters, but I do not like books that end in a cliff hanger.

No need to correct or repost, but the rules for DNF say to include the reason in your completion post. You included a link, and your review had the reasons, but I usually don't follow links for reviews and ask that it be included in your completion posts. Hopefully no more DNFs, but just in case...

Benita, you only need to read one or at most two books for this challenge. We as a team must read 4 books, so if everyone reads a book you need only one. If someone were to pass on this task, which I can’t imagine why they would unless they are having a life crisis, then you might need to read an extra book.

My kind of book, romantic suspense, science paranormal, action, alpha heroes, strong women. Feehan does get a little wordy at times but I plan to continue on with the series as I need to know all the other characters stories now.

A predictable, lusty, enjoyable Highland romp, which is book one in Celeste Barclay's 15+ volume series. But having done 5 in the series, the books are only very loosely related. A small bit of Scottish politics from the period of King Edward I of England and Scottish King Robert the Bruce, early 1300's. Heroine is quite strong.

A Regency story of a married couple, who while married for eight years have become platonic friends, and how they face the challenge of the wife having lied to her grandfather about having had children. Released yesterday, this was entertaining, but not as funny or romantic as the author's previous books.

Review: A paranormal mystery wherein Dan, a former alcoholic cop and nearly broken man seeks a retreat at a remote cabin for a self imposed solo rejuvenation retreat, but soon after arrival witnesses a young woman being abducted. When the local police find no evidence, Dan starts investigating and soon finds a missing person poster with the woman's picture, but from ten years earlier. Author constructs a quickly moving plot that is clear, engaging and fast paced. The narrator, Alan Carlson, on the audiobook is exceptionally good with very strong characterization skills doing many distinctly different male voices.

You bet..I will edit immediately. I had 250, and changed it....arrghh...I am struggling a bit with picking Kindle editions for the post...I am aiming at 1st edition Kindle. Editing now....
Yes...I am fast...this little game gives me something to focus on which is in my control as I try to support my husband through his hospitals stays.
This team has provided me tons of emotional strength for my other tasks.
I listen to audiobooks at 2x speeds and play them about 20 hours a day, so do several books a day, unless I am in a Ken Follett or Diana Gabaldon series.... : - )
Again, do continue to fear and prevent catching these final waves of covid.
It was round 3 of covid (yes, we are fully boosted and vaxed) that damaged my husband's heart and caused relapse of cancer. Be extra careful!

Benita, I have been wondering how your husband is doing. I had read an article yesterday where the doctors now think that each new infection of Covid a person gets degrades their immune system and they think that the effect is cumulative. I know you are concerned for your husband but you also need to be sure you are taking care of yourself.

An interesting premise for the series. Each book is based on a real story that the author then weaves into a paranormal horror story. In this book Gloria survives an attempted murder but her best friend is not so lucky. This is Gloria’s story of survival and search for answers.
