Review: I think that second chance romances are just not for me or maybe it was just this couple but I just couldn't get into it. In my opinion, I feel that in a second chance romance whoever is trying to get their second chance should prove to the other person that they actually deserve that second chance and I just felt that Jonathan was doing a very bad job of that. I felt that Jonathan didn't really change at all and I don't think he deserved the second chance he was given.

Lisa Jackson is one of my go to thriller/mystery authors and she did not disappoint with her latest book. The novel is about a young woman who was traumatized as a young girl by the massacre of the majority of her family. Her step brother was convicted of the murders but later released on a technicality due to police mishandling of the evidence. Not to spoil the ending but all is not as it seemed with the murders and the author has good, believable plot twists throughout.

Already did...The Amazon page count for Kindle 1st is different from the Goodreads Kindle page count...go figure.
I did find it unusual that the kindle and one of the hardcover editions had the same page numbers so who knows which is correct. Thanks. I try and check everything so it is easier on Kat.

Review: I selected this book because it met this challenge and because I had a free copy from its production team who wanted me to listen for errors of pronunciation and production in the audiobook. The story would have delighted my devout mother or mother-in-law, but was too aggresively Christian for me. It is part of the ongoing story of three Christian life-unlucky sisters who end up in Defiance, Colorado in the 1870's. This portion of the series sees them, and their associates from the previous books in the series, battle Delilah Goodnight who has come to town to open a saloon, burlesque theater and auction captured virgins into prostitution.

Review: This is book one in the three book clean, sexless, Christian Western romance series Romance in the Rockies. I selected this book because it met this challenge and because I had a free copy from its production team who wanted me to listen for errors of pronunciation and production in the audiobook. This book was too vigorously Christian for my enjoyment, BUT I can see how the plot and character appropriate witnessing would appeal to many Christian romance readers. It is the beginning of the story of three Christian life-unlucky sisters who end up in Defiance, Colorado in the 1870's. This book in the series introduces the sister's backstory as well as the various important citizens of Defiance, as the sisters build and open a cafe/inn. Don't miss the forward/prologue for key bits of the sisters' history.

A stand-alone romantic suspense that is also part family saga as the story unfolds. Caitlyn and Dillon met as children when she was seeking refuge escaping from kidnappers. The novel unfolds in the intervening years as their lives and the lives of their families intercept and someone tries to extract revenge for the botched kidnapping.

Colleen Hoover writes to pull on your emotional heart strings. This book was no exception. You are drawn in to Fallon’s story with an unfeeling father and physical and emotional scars from a fire that cost her career. I did have to keep reminding myself the characters were only 18-23 during the story and to view life through their age and life experiences.

Our choices were based on when each of us joined RRRC were 2022 or 2019 and we picked 2019 the year Crystal joined.
Great. Sorry I was confused. When I looked at Crystal's profile, I thought it said joined 2012. I think I was looking at the wrong Goodreads joined date.So never mind....I will happily do something published in 2019.
