Did you ever read a book that was wonderfully written, entertaining and full of blood-curdling monsters only to come to the end and think... why am I not satisfied?
Yeah, that's me with this series. I admit that it is MY fault, read the spin-off series first (I had NO clue at the time) and loved it so much, that I had to jump back and see how it all began. For me, the ending was way better than the beginning... *headdesk*
Since I just can't help myself, I will be moving on to Winter Fire and hope to get a few answers instead of more questions... *fingers crossed*

This series is a lot of fun. I take ages to read a series cos I can't read them in a row and then forget about them. But I always enjoy LM's books :)

Loved Presley and Beto's story. After an encounter with a demon, Presley is left on the verge of death and so Beto turns him.
We see Presley getting used to his vampire powers as well as settling into his relationship with Beto.
The war with the Demons is still ongoing but take more of a back story to the romance between the 2 MCs.

Ok, can I just say I love that cover? *grin*
Finally, we get some answers, and of course, more questions... but I now feel motivated to finish this series! This was by far the best book in the series, IMHO and I look forward to seeing the Jake and Dean situation reach its conclusion... someday! *headdesk*
Sidenote: THE ACTION NEVER STOPS! I am exhausted and all I did was read the book! LOL!!!

Well this was a fun ride. Vampire and witches working together with other species to fight off demons. We don't get a whole lot of the war yet as it's just beginning but we do get a whole lot of lovin' and world building. The only thing I really disliked was the constant shmoopy crap "Darling, you are my love for all of time" kind of stuff all. the. time. It got repetitive and lost it's intensity. Still, I will definitely continue with this series.

Review:
This is what I would describe as a connector story. I loved both the MCs, but essentially this book expands the universe of the characters and develops the 'evil' element. There's no real conflict or fight, but it introduces some great new beings and more team-building. I look forward to the next in the series!

This is one of those book where you're just waiting for one of the MCs to figure out the big secret. And you wait and wait and they find out and it's no big deal. Hmm. That was anticlimactic. I did enjoy the book but I was more invested in the action adventure aspect than the romance. I mean the romance was nice but the other parts I loved. I guess you could read this before reading her previous series but you'll enjoy it more if you read them first. Will definitely continue with these guys.

I do like how this book solved the mystery. The reader ( well at least me) was kept in the dark right until the end.
Dan and Oz do their own investigation alongside DIs Khan and Powell. We never really have the insight into the official investigation. Oz and Dan are helped by a small but colorful assemble of secondary characters.
Sad this was the last book.

Review:
There are clear pros and cons to this story which I won't delve too far into, however my biggest gripe is that MC Owen is just too OTT on the age-gap issue. I know there are reasons, but it just annoyed me. (And the whole 'daddy' thing isn't my jam at all.)
Having said that - MC Blake's total self-acceptance and chill is wonderful. Loved him.

Okaaaay... maybe I should have read the blurb? LOL!!!
I am going to say that this was extremely entertaining on the "paranormal" part and very light on the romance part., but that's OK! *grin*
We were given an extremely diverse set of characters in this series, which in and of itself was nice! This has been a go-to author for me for a very long time and I am rarely disappointed with what I have read by them!
Curious to see where this series leads us, but I guess we will just have to wait and see... and wait... and wait... and wait... *headdesk* ;p

Another fun instalment in this series. I enjoyed how this romance started out; it was pure convenience with extreme attraction. And then it develops over time. The Kelly gang are a great backdrop for these stories and their WhatsApp conversations fill in character and humour.
Narrated by Michael Dean & Joel Leslie - can only be great with these two managing the US/UK accents.

I can't believe I am saying this, but this story was my least favorite of the series. It read fast and there were many great things about it, but it didn't hold my interest like the first three books did. There were actually a couple of things that I didn't even like about it... (view spoiler)
I am sure that I will be looking forward to reading more stories by this author in the future, and it won't hurt my feelings one bit if we get another installment of the Danny/Rain love story! Just sayin'!

First off, where can I get me a Jenny? That woman was amazing!! Now to the couple...I really enjoyed these two. I did find it a little odd that a group of covert operatives didn't know all that much about one of their own teammates. Gage and Mason have been dancing around each other for quite a while but finally got stuck together and Mason sees how Gage lives. It's freaking sad. He steps in, of course, and fixes everything with only a little push back from Gage. I was surprised at that. Great story, wonderful characters, another winner!!

Gillian is locked up in an insane asylum and is broken out by Dr Barrie. They escape o n an air ship and then Gillian realizes that the good doctor is actually a bad man. Gunner shows up and then Gillian has to use magic to get them off of the ship.
The rest of the book is then Gillian and Gunner going back to NYC and trying to capture Barrie. Quite gory in places but a good story.
