It doesn't state that, so hopefully I was just looking for the worst when I read it!!! 😂

Not sure if I'll go with CB for my second book or an Isla Olsen or SC Wynne! Will depend on my mood!!
(I bought my first Saxon James book for reading one day Shannon ;) It doesn't fit my current challenges, but it will get slotted in soon.)

Review:
I want to start off by saying, I didn't dislike this! But, (you knew it was coming) it felt like something was missing. I think it was excitement. This book read quickly, but I never really felt emotionally invested in it. I think I liked the MCs, except for the fact that we didn't get all of the details that we needed. Like, I was 25% into the story before I found out that Thompson and William even knew each other. and what was up with the fact that Thompson is never referred to as Kimball (which is his first name)... not ONE single time, if you discount the mention of it in the blurb... grrr
There were a bunch of little things that felt skipped over or glossed over... I guess I felt like this author had a lot of missed opportunities. But, having said all of that, I still enjoyed the story and find myself compelled to read Shadow's Return...

Honestly, I have NO clue, but I will give it a check! I didn't even notice anything, but right now I am not surprised. I can't even recall what is on the list except for a couple of "location" items... grrr

I found around 47 item points... nothing on the cover and only 1 on themes. Might have a New to me author if you haven't read them before. You probably could add "police car" because Thompson drives his own vehicle, but it is for police work and I think Lisa said we could count that, but I wasn't sure, so I didn't add it! If there was fruit, I have no recall of it... *headdesk* LOL!!!

Yes - going with Lucy Lennox (Donna's author), and then need to pick an author that you or Shannon selected. Under control now...

This was light and fluffy... except for the whole "chopped up body" part at the beginning!
I was prepared for the light and fluffy, not so much the chopped-up body...
Both MCs worked well for me and I enjoyed the little "asides" that we got from them every now and then. Even though amusement parks and Broadway are not two things that I have a personal interest in, at no time did I feel out of my depth or bored with the interworkings of either aspect of the book! One might even say that I learned a thing or two! *grin*
Was this Hemingway? No, thank god, but it was extremely enjoyable and I loved watching Trav and Derek slowly come to learn to depend on each other. Yeah, there was nothing slow about them getting together, but the trust took a while to build, which was nice to see for a change!
I am looking forward to reading Follow My Lead! I found Dimi to be quite intriguing!

I really, really enjoyed both this book and the first one. Yes, Jeremy was a whiny little bitch but he was relatively harmless. The stalker plot was just okay. It did add a bit to the story, plus why would Steve need to be with Jeremy all the time if there was no stalker? What I absolutely hated and took a star off for was the lack of the sex. Blowjobs, handjobs and frotting but that's it. These guys were so hot for each other but didn't want to give it a go? Oh hell no! Loved Steve's fellow bodyguards and the boys from the band. Not sure if there will be more in the series but I'll read them if they come.

I generally don't enjoy business "takeover"/development romances due to the forced sides right from the start, so I started this audio with a low expectation. But this story handled those opposite positions really well. It wasn't the blind hate from which the reader has to claw back to a point of attraction. The way LL manages this element deserves the full stars!
Narrated by Sean Crisden & Teddy Hamilton - excellent!

2 gay singles go on a cruise looking for love. A cute story with some angst ( thought Upton was rather childish after Walsh left) but the inevitable HEA.
Only thing was I kept wondering how Upton got his Cuba visa when he was only told on the Sunday he was going on a cruise the next morning.

Review:
I still have issues with the book, but I enjoyed it more than I had on my first pass back in 2014. The start still makes limited sense in terms of timeline; everything happens too quickly to my mind. There's also a more telling that showing - again in the first quarter of the book. As the story progresses, the book frees up and flows better.
NRW always wraps up her stories very thoroughly, and it clearly shows in these earliest works :) [65 Hours also has an extended finish.]
Narrated by Nick J Russo - excellent.

I liked this one almost as much as the first. I had a feeling one of these books was going to be about Robbie and Brandon and I was not wrong. These two were so ridiculously clueless and it was super entertaining. Never had been with a man before but Robbie wanted to give a go. He kept asking if he could touch everyone's d*cks and that in itself was hilarious. This one was definitely a friends to lovers book with some great, fumbly smexing. Loving this series.

Can I just say that after all these years, I fear there won't be a next book in this series. I really would have liked to get another book or three... but, such is life.
While John and Lee had a huge learning curve with all the changes going on in their lives, the one thing you could be sure of was their love and need for each other! I guess if a series had to end there are worse places and ways to do it. But, I am still a tad bit disappointed. 😢

An easy read with two hearts that were always meant for each other. There's story remaining for this couple but it would be quickly resolved in one of the next books ~ the romance was completely tied up though, so don't worry! No cliffhangers here!
I enjoyed the insight into MC Dawson's disability. A couple things didn't make sense to me, but that could have been the narrator's interpretation - plus I have no experience of an adult who loses their hearing and how they manage the new condition, so who knows?
Narrated by Kenneth Obi - 4 stars. Too many high male voices for my liking, with both MCs have a higher voice to my ears... But still well narrated.

I really don't like MF sex in my MM books even if its just a little bit, but literally the opening paragraph was MF.
Aside from that, I did enjoy this book. I like gay for you or bi sexual awakenings and apart from the pointless angst, the story was pretty good.
