Librarian Note: There is more than one author in the GoodReads database with this name. See this thread for more information.

Sarah Madison has a large dog, and an even bigger horse, too many cats, and a very patient boyfriend. She enjoys photography, hiking with her German Shepherd, and competing her horse in the sport of combined training and eventing. Writing has become a passion that sometimes take precedence over everything else. As a matter of fact, when she is in the middle of a chapter, she usually relies on the smoke detector to tell her when dinner is ready.

Well, shoot! GR cut off most of my answer! I was working from my phone this morning because the laptop was down, so maybe that's why you only got a fraction of my response!

Here's the rest of it, more or less. The bad news is that it will probably be 2017 before I can get the next in the series out. Normally by this time of year, I have a working draft ready to submit to the publisher so they can release it in the fall of the same year. Unfortunately, I had a lot of family issues that derailed my schedule in 2015--whew, when I look back at 2015, I'm surprised I didn't end up in the looney bin. I need to write an obituary for that year, seriously. Anyway, I'm way off schedule, but there will be a fourth book.

John gets assigned another partner to work the Grimm Fairy Tale Killer case while Lee recovers from his injuries--you can imagine how well that will go over! There will be more trauma and twists with the supernatural powers, and of course, they aren't done with John's nemesis. I'm practically rubbing my hands together with glee thinking about it! But I am sorry to make everyone wait. :-((less)

Without missing a beat, my mother said, "No dear. You are."

I've always wished I'd gotten an explanation for that...(less)

More books by Sarah Madison…

For some reason–one I do not question but am deeply grateful for–recently people have been popping in to tell me how much they love the Sixth Sense series. They’ve also been sharing their hopes that I will finish it–and it is my intention to do so.

Without belaboring the point, I have started several drafts of the next installment, Deal with the Devil. For a variety of reasons, I haven’t gotten...

Apparently GR is no longer sending out email notifications on friend requests! If I hadn't been poking around here for other reasons, I wouldn't have run across it--glad that I did! I don't come to GR daily... *makes evil eye at GR changing its policies*

Glad I eventually found the request!

Beatrice Hi Sarah! Thanks for accepting the friend request. Totally can't wait for Practice Makes Perfect!

Sarah Madison My solution was to work on something else entirely and let the WIP marinate for a while. Usually I can come back to it with a fresh eye then and figure out what was hanging me up.

Even if the 'something else' doesn't ultimately end in a sale--it all a good exercise. :D

I just realized I don't get an email when someone responds to a message I posted on their profile. I'm still figuring out Goodreads, I guess. :) Anyway, sorry to hear about the writing. Hope you've been able to locate that flaw and work through it. I've had the same thing happen before, and it's always frustrating until you land on what the story needs/doesn't need. Best of luck!

Define 'well'? I seem to be having trouble getting started on this next one--which is usually an indication there's a big flaw somewhere I've only identified subconsciously so far. How about you?
