MountainKat | 31597 comments Information required when posting your completion/s:

Task
Book/cover link
Page numbers with source
How book qualified, with links or cover as necessary.
Date Completed.
Rating/Review.

**Remember to use the first edition Kindle page count only! If your page count comes from a Kindle edition published on the initial publication date on the editions page, it will count. If your page count comes from a Kindle edition labeled '1st edition', it will count. If your page count comes from the earliest dated English language Kindle edition, it will count. I am looking for one of those three things when confirming your books! As long the page count you list is correct, I will accept any link to the book. Ebook page count will be acceptable if no Kindle page count available. The acceptability of other page counts will be made on an individual basis.**

Please note that a rating is now required in your completion posts! A small review is also welcome. 😊

MountainKat | 31597 comments I think most of you know each other, at least a little, but feel free to introduce yourself again. Please give any relevant information, especially time zone as that helps know when it is best to communicate. 😊

Please select a team leader to help keep track of where your team is in any given task. And as necessary guide discussions for task decisions. Any teammate can report your completions though.

Remember, it is the team's responsibility to notify the host (me) if a teammate fails to complete the task in a timely manner or otherwise goes missing! I am not checking all the team threads regularly to notice and may only check when notified a task is complete.

PS - If you want to be known as anything other than Team 3, you are free to come up with a team name. 😉

MountainKat | 31597 comments As you will be a team of 5 instead of 4, I will adjust tasks when necessary to reflect that. I don't always remember, but I will try! 🤞🏼

58. Read 6 books published in the year one of the teammates joined RRRC, teams decide which teammate. I joined in 2020
64. Read 6 books not set on a continent of a teammate. Space does not count - must be a real continent. I am from North America
72. Read 4 books published in the decade of a teammate's birth, team decides which teammate. 1970s - I hope you all are much younger than me lol
74. Read 6 books published in a teammates' birth month, you may not use your own month. November

AnnMarie (am_fasano) | 503 comments As far as same authors go I am fairly flexible. I am not a fan of Tal Bauer or C.S. Pacat and I would rather stay away from BDSM, dark, etc. if possible. I am pretty sure that M/M counts as a sub-genre of Romance so we are covered with that one. The either/or ones I am fine, same with profession and country (suggestion from me is England or Australia because I think they have the most options).

Sorry, I like to pick as many books in advance for challenges, I do not mean to stress anyone out so tell me to go sit down if I am, I will not be offended!

From our answers so far we don't have a clear frontrunner for the 3 read the same author questions or the favourite trope. Fingers cross AnneMarie or Emeli's favourites will help us decide.

Starstruck | 616 comments Quick question, do we know how the tasks will be pro-rata'd? For the ones with page counts the maths is simple but for the read 6 books are we going to be asked to read 7.5.

The task is two book and in Q and A, you can't read from the list younade but you can read both from the sameteammate if you want.

I try to adjust the tasks to what one reader is required to do. Usually it is one additional book, but for some of the later tasks it is 2. And for page count, it is usually 150 additional pages. I think a couple of the tasks might need more than 150, but not entirely sure without going through them all.

AnnMarie (am_fasano) | 503 comments I posted about coming to agreement then I got sick, sorry I have been absent but the germ-carrying children finally got me! lol

I think that Gustaf's suggestion about Vino & Veritas for series is a good idea, several different authors so likely everyone will find something that they will enjoy and most (maybe all?) of the audios are available on Hoopla.

I am fine with both of Starstruck's list suggestions.

My favorite authors are T.J. Klune (not for many of you do though so not an option lol), Mary Calmes, N.R. Walker (a decent number of standalones), Ella Frank, May Archer, Hailey Turner, S.J. Himes & Adrienne Wilder. I am fine if there is another selected for this providing they don't write super dark, BDSM, Tal Bauer or C.S. Pacat

My favorite trope is found family but I am certain I can find something to enjoy providing kink is not involved or is ugly cry sad hurt/comfort.

AnnMarie (am_fasano) | 503 comments There are 2 categories that we will be at a disadvantage with having 5 people, does anyone know of there is any leeway with these?

80. Read 4 books initially published in different decades.
Can we duplicate one decade so we only have to choose 4 different as a team?

91. Add up the years of the teammates' births and each teammate reads a book with that minimum number of pages. For example, teammates were born in 75, 83, 87 and 94 - each teammate reads a book at least 339 pages long. No pass for this task.
Can we only count 4 of us?

I think that Gustaf's suggestion about Vino & Veritas for series is ..."

The spacy stage when you have a cold is horrible. Hope you're feeling better.

With the locations and authors I like variety and would like to suggest we select different ones where possible.

50 New York
53 London (England)
55 Australia

I think the page count total from our birth year will be pro-rata'd (71 + 73 + 89 + 89 + 95) x 0.8 = 334

As we can read any fiction unless stated otherwise, I'd be happy to take 1980's as my decade if we get that task. I may even dig out one of the paperbacks I bought in the 80's. (Yes, Gustaf, I own books that are older that you are 🤣)

Oh, I might have missed it but I think we need your recommendations and 5 favourite books.

Also for
1. Same author should we decide in Aimee Nicole Walker?

If I remember correctly that was what was done last round when I lead the team of Five people.

Gustaf | 1936 comments I should already be asleep lol, but I'm going to to put a list together tomorrow. I think most things are decided by majority and I like Starstrucks comment about trying to spread the locations out.

Most of you seems fine with name Easier said than run so I'm going to submit that.

Starstruck | 616 comments While waiting for the first task (must find out if Kat accepts bribes of cute animal pics in exchange for an early call) I've been browsing the other teams threads. Quite a few have links to their shelves instead of giving personalized recommendations. In case it's useful I can recommend anything I've read that's rated 4 or 5 stars.

I should be about when the tasks are announced. If I'm not I'll happily go with the group consensus for any choices we have to make.
