What is need from you gals.
Selection posts are optional as long as everyone is checking in a few times a week. But like Mandiann said it does make it easier. So if you know what you are rea..."
I don't think the books need to be read by Thu, can you double check that?

In message 5 it says "✸ Let your team know if it looks like you won't get your review posted by Thursday, 11:59pm. You do have all of Friday to submit your review, but it can be intensely frustrating for your captain if they don't know when or if they can expect your review before the deadline."
In the thread How to Play, Help & Discussions in message 3 it says "✸ Teams will roll the dice ... on Fridays once their team has completed their reads. "
It also says "**VERY IMPORTANT**
A team CANNOT advance if all the reviews are not complete and in by the deadline. Reviews are due at the latest by end of day on Friday - 11.59pm Central Time. Without a free pass to cover a review still missing by deadline, the team will have to sit out the next roll. That being said, players should have their reviews in on Thursday as your team captain cannot roll until ALL of the team reviews have been posted."

Mandiann - I've lived several places with lots of snow, and drive pretty well in it. The trouble down here is that there's no equipment or salting of the roads. If it's snowing or icy, you pretty much have to stay put! And on the rare occassions it's messy, it never lasts long. It was sleeting a bit when I left work tonight, but not enough to cause trouble. It's really the first cold we've had this season. I'll admit I'm happier when it's warm.

Review: If you like NA books with Alpha Males and bad boys being reformed by "magic pussy" and lots of graphic sex, than this one is probably something you will enjoy. Unfortunately, for me, I prefer NA books with awkward characters who are still trying to figure themselves out and where they fit in the world (like Fangirl). While this certainly isn't my favourite trope, it wasn't bad as the last book I read in this series (#4, Just for Now).

It is a bummer that each bonus can only be used one per team, but I still wanted to keep track.
Also, just as an fyi next week we will land on something that starts with a 1, and the week after we are likely to get a 2 in our number so think of what series you can start if you have not already.
These BONUS tasks might be in play...
✸ One point can be earned for reading three or more books in a series.
✸ One point can be earned for reading a book with >500 pages.
✸ One point can be earned for starting and finishing a series. (There must be at least 4 books in that series. Series + spin-off totalling ≥4 books also counts. For series with >9 books, point will be awarded for reading books 1-9. For still ongoing series, all books published to date (OR up to #9 in longer series) must be read.~ No re-reads on this one.)

Oh phew! I was worried when you posted that to read, because I know they in general are not your cup of tea. I worried you would hate it even worse that some of the others, and did not want you to struggle with it. 😉😄🤓

Yeah, it was hard to pass up a 6.5 hour audio, even if I knew I probably wouldn't like it. At least it was quick. Now I can get back to the book I am enjoying.
And I will look and see what series I have with 4+ books on my TBR to start with the next roll.

If you do not have a short series don't worry about it, as long as one of us gets the Bonus. And being we can only get it once as a team it is not necessary for everyone to find something. 🤓

I've often thought a round with everyone able to earn each bonus point more than once would be interesting. I generally try to read them all just for my own challenge, even if they don't get counted. So competitive me would like to see just what would happen with all those extra points. :D

Ok, well by all means GO FOR IT! 😉😃😁🤓
But yeah, I hear ya, I tend to at least try with this challenge even if someone else has.

Review: This was a return to the Mercy I know and love. The last couple of books were weird and not to my taste, I was concerned about the series. But I loved this book, even the horrible Christy was enough grit to drive Mercy to distraction and bring out her tough side. Hope she never shows up again. :D Good bad guy and loved the addition of Gary. Nice to have the pack around again and have Mercy gaining some supporters. (view spoiler) Great book, looking forward to the next one.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

Review: Once again Goldy is in the middle of an amusing story. Her kitchen contractor has left a construction mess, a new caterer in town trying to undercutting her business, her best friend is dealing with the IRS, her husband is bickering with the DA, she is worried about both Arch and Julian and this is all before she finds a dead body. So basically a twist on the status quo for her. These are entertaining, but they really do follow a formula, so they are good for semi quick light reads in my opinion.

Review: Annie's story is wrapping up as she and the gang head to a small town in Maine, make a new friend, learn that Leonard is in town and try and take on The Crossroads. Annie's stories have been average to me, she is still the baby of the family blaming her siblings. Her companions are great however. I was very disappointed not to have more wrap-up at the end.

Review: This series is very hit or miss for me. I haven’t absolutely loved any of the books, but I’ve liked most of them with a few duds. I was worried for a bit that Just a Bit Shameless would be a dud, but the story of an MI6 operation with an older, experienced agent paired with a young, new recruit, turned out to be pretty entertaining. There is nothing realistic about this plotline, but the couple is ultimately rather sweet, and the HEA rewarding.

Review: It's been a while since I read anything in this series. I have always enjoyed the characters and this was no exception. I was surprised that it took a while before Knight made an appearance in this story. He is usually anywhere Dulcie is. Somehow, I was expecting a totally different ending than I got. Maybe I shouldn't have waited so long to continue this series. Definitely looking forward to the next one.

Sweet!
Well we are done until I can roll late Thursday or depending on your time zone Friday after midnight.
I expect us to get something in the teens this week.
Because the lowest, double 1's gets us ten, and the highest double 6's would get us 20, but I do not see the 20 as all that likely.

If you roll us into the teens Alison, then I will be starting my 5 book series. Book #1 is The Christie Curse and the series sounds very entertaining, so I am looking forward to it.
Wednesdays are my "day off" which means I don't start work until 8 a.m. and only work 8 hours. :D Right now I am waiting for my deep fryer to cool off enough to refill while buns bake and perogies freeze. I am avoiding the dishes for the moment and checking in here. So I always have time for reading Wednesday night. That will be the latest I ever finish I expect. I do have a couple other team challenges starting next week, but they are all 1 book/week like this one, so I let myself sign up. I miss these team things when I don't have one going.
So that is a little about me. I own a restaurant as well as several other tourist based businesses. I am a workaholic and a readaholic. I live in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by water, trees, wildlife and as few people as we need to stay afloat. :D What are you all doing on this lovely freezing Wednesday? Work, family, hobbies? What's for dinner? Planning any travel or outings? Favourite colour? I'm nosey, please chat with me.

That series sounds interesting and your life sounds crazy busy. I'm impressed you are only reading 5 series, I couldn't even count how many I'm in the middle of.
I work an office job so fairly normal hours. Planning leftover spaghetti or shrimp scampi for dinner.

If we roll in the teens, I think I will start The Glittering Court and attempt to finish it during this challenge. If we roll a 2 I will either do The Twelve or Trickster Drift depending on what format fits in with my life better that week.
As Alison knows, my days and weeks are unpredictable so sometimes I make be less organized and cut it down to the wire but I will always make a point of getting finished on time.
I have a 6 month old baby and my 4 year old (who we have currently pulled out of school) home with me every day. I also work from home as a travel agent. So my days and nights are busy busy. It feels like every moment is full right now. We are planning leftover pork roast for dinner but I need to prepare some carrot and parsnip fingers and penne noodles to go with it as Mr. 6 months has started showing an interest in foods just in the last few weeks.
I am enjoying a rare peaceful quiet moment with my Mr. 4 watching a screen and Mr. 6 months napping unheld. I should be working as my work to do list keeps getting longer but I am having a hard time motivating myself.
I usually have more luck getting through audio quicker (while rocking a baby) but this week I actually finished an ebook. Besides reading I love to sew but haven't managed to fit that in much in the last 2 months.
I am in Northern Ontario, in Canada and it is freezing here today. So far we have played store and ice fishing. Not sure how we will fill our hours this afternoon until Hubby gets off work and I can hand the kids off and try to get some work done myself.

You overestimate me. It's five books in that same series, to earn the finish a series bonus point. I'm probably reading more like 500 series. :D

Mmmm parsnips. :D
I really loved The Twelve, best book in the series I thought.
I live in Northwestern Ontario, near the Manitoba border. Hello neighbour (probably about 20 hours away :D )

Next time I do the 8hr drive to Winnipeg to visit my sister, I should detour through what I assume is your town and eat at your lovely establishment ;)

And here I was guessing Kenora. I let my passport expire a while back so I can't go that route :( Oh well. So close but so far away.

All of Ontario is within 4 hours of Toronto don't you know. :D I have people see Cottage Country and think they can drive here for lunch. No clue that our province is 24 hours driving side to side.

That sounds like an interesting series, I like the concept of the first book. Glad you found one you think you will be able to use to cover that task. I had been looking for one, hut had yet to have found one that was not a re-read, and I would have access to all the books.
I also agree with Diane that "your life sounds crazy busy" bust as long as you are happy it is all good. 😉🤓

I will roll just after midnight in the Central time zone so it is Friday there.
Because that is only 10pm for me. So it should be up ehen all you gals farter east wake up. 😉

I remember enjoying that series, it was an interesting premise. Know nothing of the other two.
But do make note of the fact it will work for 3 or more from a series bonus, but not start to finish bonus, as that needs 4 or more books.
