PS I read this at the same time as Mad Honey, I do not recommend this. I also know enough about bees now to set up a hive myself!

Rook is a fictionalised account by Stephen G. Eoannou of ex-cons who teamed up to become an odd pair of "badfellows" and ended up on the FBI's most-wanted list.
Rook by Stephen G. Eoannou 3.5★ My review of Rook

Carolyn | 2078 comments #2 in Simon McCleave's new detective series based in Anglesey is just as good as the first and the characters are developing nicely. DI Laura Hart's first case back at work is twisty mystery that starts out as a murder investigation and ends up being so much more.

In Too Deep (The Anglesey Series #2) by Simon McCleave In Too Deep

Carolyn | 2078 comments River of Fallen Angels (Victorian Mystery, #7) by Laura Joh Rowland River of Fallen Angels by Laura Joh Rowland is #7 in a mystery series set in Victorian London.

The main character is a crime photographer for a newspaper, her husband is a policeman and her housemates are fellow journalists so they find interesting crimes to investigate together. The mysteries are good but the historical atmosphere of Victorian London is not as strong as it could be, especially in this one.

Kerri_M | 785 comments Haven't found a new series for a while, as I have been trying to get up to date on all my current series, but just finished Dark Game by Rachel Lynch

Police/crime in Lakes district of England. Crime is quite dark, but avoids the grim details. Remaining books in the series all have 4+ stars on Goodreads.

Will definitely give the next one a go.

Dark Game (DI Kelly Porter, #1) by Rachel Lynch ★★★★
