She gets an extra star as this Author makes me think of home and her writing in nostalgic.... But.....
It wasnt a story just all about what goes wrong at christmas... (i am a Christmas Nut) was a bit disappointed as this is usually a go to author for me.

Fake Fiancée by Ilsa Madden-Mills

This one is my fault for even reading it, because I know better than to pick up any book that is either new adult or takes place in college - because I know I am going to hate it going in. I read this anyway though, because I am a big fan of this author, but even she couldn’t save this for me. I just can’t stand the juvenile aspect of all the characters’ actions - I just can’t relate to them and have zero patience for the immaturity of it all.

I do find the character sometimes a little confusing in their actions and reactions to things....
Baba was really an Old crone most of the time, it was nice to see Freyr chip away at her, and some of her spell were great (Loved when she frogged him)... but sometimes the Author pushes characters a bit too far... Eg she used to eat babies.... That there is no redemption from me the reader.

I loved the way Eve worked this one. In the end it was horrible and the guy was totally crazy but the process was so good. I love how Eve never give up! Also, Peabody got some great news! And Eve's response was seriously "Mag". Looking forward to more to come!

Sorry we didn't catch that Laura! I didn't realize your book was NF

Wow how cute are Peyton And Rome!!!!!!
This was an amazing read.... I loved both the characters so much... it was great to see Peyton soften Rome while at the same time sticking to her guns.
It was a sweet romance that started with a drunken Email.
Loved it!

I thought this was a cute installment in the Shifters Unbound world - I liked the hero, Angus, who just wanted to protect his young son, and Tamsin grew on me after the early chapters. I thought their romance was sweet, but didn’t quite have the “zing” that some of the other books’ characters in this series have had. I will say yet again we have heavily featured both Dylan and Tiger in this story, which makes me both roll my eyes and knock off half a point in my rating - these guys as plot points are way overused in literally every book and I’m so over it.

long story short, I haven't had much of a chance to read LOL will try and get it done in next 24 hours

I love the name Peyton too and thought I would use it for a girl name but my husband’s cousin beat us to it so I couldn’t use it.

Nikk - I’ve been reading the news about the huge rainfall and major flooding that’s been happening in parts of Australia - hope you are well, and stay safe.
And I just got my first vaccine shot this weekend - yay! So excited. 🎉

I love Peyton think the names so different!!!
Nikk Stay safe and happy birthday to your Kiddo

I enjoyed this one so much more than I thought I would! I was worried about how the series would do with revisiting a past couple but I loved how the story evolved. Such a great story and it highlighted the troubles that couples have after the HEA. And the ending...Loved it! So sweet. I hope to see them as the focus again in the series. I really want to get to know Liam better.

I did find Camila and Runes Story very slow... Although i loved Both characters and the story i was still a bit bored, not just with the relationship development but the story was slow....
Still some love a slow burn
Due to loving the Authors writing world and characters. i still enjoyed it.

This installment in the series was a bit sad and bittersweet, as you know from beginning of the story that the two main characters fall passionately in love yet are kept apart for 200 years. The connection between Bel and Grayson was sweet and I was happy to see Gray finally get his HEA, but not my favorite in the series.

I really enjoyed this one. It was a slow burn romance. I liked both the main characters. I admired Catherine a lot. But I wished she could have thought that she deserved good things to happen to her. I know that there was a lot of crap heaped on her at a young age but she definitely needed some help to see that she deserved everything good that she wanted to dream.
My only big complaint about the book was the fact with all of the lead-up to their relationship, I would have loved to have a real epilogue instead of the short little snippet we got.
The narrator did a great job of bringing the story to life.
I have never read anything by this author before but I will be looking to read more of her work in the future.

I enjoyed this one. The main character was interesting to say the least. Ruben's family were all a bunch of jerks except for his sister-in-law. And considering the things going on with some of the royals in real life, I had to try really hard to suspend the belief that everyone was just ok with the fact that Cherry was black. But maybe I'm just cynical.
But, I did enjoy this story and I have been introduced to a new author. 2021's goal for me is to read more works by Black author's and I think I found one whose work I am looking forward to exploring.
