MountainKat | 31598 comments Information required when posting your completion/s:

Task
Book/cover link
Page numbers with source
How book qualified, with links or cover as necessary.
Date Completed.
Rating/Review.

**Remember to use the first edition Kindle page count only! If your page count comes from a Kindle edition published on the initial publication date on the editions page, it will count. If your page count comes from a Kindle edition labeled '1st edition', it will count. If your page count comes from the earliest dated English language Kindle edition, it will count. I am looking for one of those three things when confirming your books! As long the page count you list is correct, I will accept any link to the book. Ebook page count will be acceptable if no Kindle page count available. The acceptability of other page counts will be made on an individual basis.**

Please note that a rating is now required in your completion posts! A small review is also welcome. 😊

MountainKat | 31598 comments I think most of you know each other, at least a little, but feel free to introduce yourself again. Please give any relevant information, especially time zone as that helps know when it is best to communicate. 😊

Please select a team leader to help keep track of where your team is in any given task. And as necessary guide discussions for task decisions. Any teammate can report your completions though.

Remember, it is the team's responsibility to notify the host (me) if a teammate fails to complete the task in a timely manner or otherwise goes missing! I am not checking all the team threads regularly to notice and may only check when notified a task is complete.

PS - If you want to be known as anything other than Team 11, you are free to come up with a team name. 😉

Elizabeth Nolly (booknerdchats) | 768 comments Task 27: I like 2017
Task 29: Athlete or Law Enforcement would be easiest.
Task 33: Contemporary is good
Task 49: February 2021 is good. I have like 3 books from last month.
Task 52: I think white or black would be easiest but I’m good with any color
Task 54: mountains seem easy
Task 72: is 1990’s still good?
Task 79: my favorite tropes are friends to lovers or fake relationships.
Task 88: car or motorcycle is probably easiest
Task 92: I like past best
Task 96: I think Sun might be easier but I have books with the moon on it as well so either one.

I think that’s all of them I saw. I also agree with New York and the UK

Uhh Courtney...where's the fantasy and the weirdness? I need somebody to push me out of my comfort zone. This is where I find fantasy, futuristic, paranormal, etc books that I wouldn't normally read. Give me something, Courtney please LOL

Chan | 5093 comments For the other tasks, that require collaboration, do we want to split them up like we did a few of the others last round? We don't have to. It's just a suggestions. If we go this route, then we could choose the following tasks:

Karen: 1, 17, 52, 55, 71, 75
Elizabeth: 3, 33, 51, 70, 79, 93
Courtney: 2, 29, 53, 73, 82,
Chan: 9, 50, 56, 72, 76, 88

Task 27: I like 2017

Ok, looks good. We'll do 2017!
Task 29: Athlete or Law Enforcement would be easiest.
My vote is athlete. I have a ridiculous number of sports books 🤣
Task 33: Contemporary is good
Task 49: February 2021 is good. I have like 3 books from last month.

👍 Good for me for both
Task 52: I think white or black would be easiest but I’m good with any color
I think the only problem with black is finding one that's not actually gray. I think I had a hard time last time.
Task 72: is 1990’s still good?
For the birth year one, 91, we have 60, 79, 80, and 87, so I think the latest is 1980s, right?
Task 79: my favorite tropes are friends to lovers or fake relationships.
I have a bunch of both of those, so I'm ok with either. Probably Fake Relationship would be my first pick of those two.
Task 88: car or motorcycle is probably easiest
I would vote motorcycle. I've got a lot of MC books 🤣
Task 92: I like past best
Probably the easier one to find books for, so that's fine for me
Task 96: I think Sun might be easier but I have books with the moon on it as well so either one.
There's an earlier task with a night sky requirement, so probably good to do the sun here to give more options

I think that’s all of them I saw. I also agree with New York and the UK.."

Yeah, those seem the easiest choices. I think texas could work, too, if anyone was feeling in a cowboy mood 🤣

Courtney | 2931 comments OK, here are the author/series ones we need to pick:
1. Each player reads a book by the same author, teams decide author - no pass for this task.
9. Each player reads a book in the same series, teams decide. No pass for this task.
51. Each teammate reads a different book by the same author, no pass for this task.
73. Read a minimum of 1500 pages in books by the same author, teams decide author.
82. Each teammate reads a different book from the same series.

Elizabeth has Eloisa James. Do you guys want for an author or series? I've been meaning to start The Wildes of Lindow Castle for a while, so I'd be cool with that one if anyone else is interested.

~KarenH~ | 11343 comments Just to get myself started, here's my list of recommended books, although this is just copied from the last round so I'll probably tweak it a bit...

Fisher's Light (Fisher's Light, #1) by Tara Sivec Fisher's Light - Contemporary/Military
Into Deep Waters by Kaje Harper Into Deep Waters - Historical (M/M)
The Witness by Nora Roberts The Witness - Romantic Suspense
Texas Destiny (Texas Trilogy, #1) by Lorraine Heath Texas Destiny - Historical
Heidi's Guide to Four Letter Words by Tara Sivec Heidi's Guide to Four Letter Words - Contemporary/Humor

message 32: by ~KarenH~, Moderator (new)

~KarenH~ | 11343 comments I'm good with Eloisa James, either as an option for an author task or a series task. I'm current in the Wildes of Lindow Castle series, but the next book comes out the end of this month and I'm planning on reading it sometime in April anyway.

message 33: by Courtney (new)

Courtney | 2931 comments For my author, what do y'all feel like? I could just do Sawyer Bennett or Vi Keeland to make it easy. Or if you want something a bit different, we could do T.S. Joyce, who does all shifter (A nice bonus is that the books are all generally under 200 pages, so they're quick to get through), or Ruby Dixion again if you want Sci-fi. I can't even remember, did we get to Dixon last time?

I could also do Jaci Burton. I think her books are all fine. Nothing super knock your socks off, but always good enough.

message 34: by Courtney (new)

Courtney | 2931 comments So maybe do Wildes of Lindow Castle series for number 82? I'm afraid if we do it for 9, the next book won't be out in time for you, Karen. Or we could put her as the author for 51 or 73. Probably will be after April when we get to those.

Courtney | 2931 comments Ok, I had to go to help, and it was the first question in there 🤣. Glad I'm not the only who hates it. If anyone else gets stuck, just click the Beta microphone at the bottom right and then a "Leave Beta" button pops up.

Basically, they're changing the book pages so that all you have is the book, and then endless text of community reviews. They've taken off the lists that would show under book, you can't access the tags, there are no similar book recommendations at the top, and the author highlight stuff on the right side of the screen is all the way at the bottom, so you have to scroll forever to see if there are more books in the series or see the other books the author has. I hate it so much!!! Takes all the focus off the actual book and the author, and shifts everything to community reviews. Which honestly, are the things I care least about. I usually only see how my friends rate things anyway.

It just looks like a crappy version of Amazon. It sucks, and it's going to make finding books for challenges much more difficult 🤬.

Ok, I feel a little better now...I'm apparently not part of the beta roll-out so not seeing anything different. That really does sound annoying though...I don't use the recommendations much, but I use the tags/shelves all the time! And you're right, it will make a lot of challenges much harder (if not impossible) if we can't access that information.

🤣Yeah, she has some funny names. I stumbled across one of her books for one the challenges, and I thought it was surprisingly good for an author I'd never heard of.

I think we should do her for an author instead of series so everyone can decide between cowboys or military/suspense.
