Review: What excellent character development! Both of the mc's change so much over the course of the story, and the part that their kink plays in the whole thing is really lovely.

I was coming here to ask you the same 🤣 it looks like a really fun challenge, I'm more worried about overdoing it. When AR ends, bachelor usually starts which is one of my favorites. I think I'm gonna do it but just sign up for 10 books a week even though I usually read more.

I think I like it because speed reading is the one way I can actually win at something 🤣 I'm not really competitive for the whole team, but it lets me set goals for myself and be competitive that way.

Done :)
The notification problem is so annoying!!!

I won't have time to start another book right away but let me know if I should start reading/listening to another one tomorrow morning.

Also - there's a scene on a virtual reality beach at the end, so maybe you could get Lisa to agree to that too 😂.

Shes one of my favourite authors and
I loved that book so much that i named too of my foster piggies after the MCs 🥰🥰
In fact many of my piggies are named after MCs from books ..think ive gone through all the THIRDS lot 😄😄

Ive got a few hours left on my second book

Here is your next task!
Task 21 - 60. Read 6 books with MPG Historical Romance.
Books selected for this task need to be MPG Historical Romance. 'Historical' and 'Romance' do not need to be combined and can be combined with other words like 'MM Romance', but both must be MPG.

I'm going to look which historical audiobooks I already own and relisten one of them.

No stress, Janine!! We are all in for having fun reading with an awesome team first of all. 🤗

Book 1

Blind Tiger by Jordan L. Hawk

Rating: 4.5 Stars
Review: Hawk was my introduction to the MM genre and every since I’ve devoured his works and loved every one of them. While it’s not required, I think the reader gets more enjoyment out of this one if they read the Hexworld series first, so that you can really understand the witch and familiar world. Not only was this book one of my favorite authors, but it threw us into one of my favorite time periods (and took away all homophobia from the time which was just complete icing to me). I really enjoyed the start of this new series, loved both of our MCs, and can’t wait to see more stories set in the same world!
Book 2

Heroes for Ghosts by Jackie North
246 Pages
How it qualifies: Historical and Romance as MPG
Date: 4/26/2021
Rating: 4 Stars
Review: This was beautiful! It’s somehow the first book I’ve read by Jackie North but it will most definitely not be the last. I will say the I love yous felt a little rush, which is why I couldn’t give it that 5th star or even a 4.5, but I still just absolutely adored it.
Book 3

Honey from the Lion by Jackie North
300 Pages
How it qualifies: Historical and Romance as MPG
Date: 4/27/2021
Rating: 4 Stars
Review: This book couldn’t be more different from book one. It still is all about time travel and 2 men from different times finding love with one another, and it’s still written beautifully, but in this one we’re transported to the past and it’s more a look at a slower paced life in the old west. Because of this, there isn’t as much action, instead there’s a major focus on the relationship and the characters, and it was beautiful. I think the first one edges this one out just a little for me and I truly look forward to seeing where the rest of the series goes.

Kidnapped by the Pirate by Keira Andrews

How it Qualifies: MPG Historical MPG Romance

Review: Soooo good - I've been hoarding this audiobook, because hello, Cornell Collins! When I was an avid MF romance reader I absolutely loved the kidnapped by the pirate genre, and this one is just perfection - loved it!

I am doing the audio! And I figured if we need me to do a 3rd book I can just go straight to Honey from the Lion since you so highly recommended it. Even when series can stand alone individually though I tend to like to read them in order lol.

I finished my book last night and am going to start a second one after breakfast. (Lots of household stuff and gardening to do, perfect for audiobooks! :))
So you'd only need to read a third one if Janine wanted to take a pass?

Did you want to take a pass? I'm good either way. Don't mind waiting, also can take a second one!

Review: I liked this book, but it didn’t blow me away like the second one did. The writing was still really good and the narration was excellent, but I didn’t feel the chemistry between the MCs. We’re supposed to believe they’ve been pining over each other for almost a decade but while we were definitely told that I never really felt it.
Book 2
Rueberry Orchard by Michele Notaro

Review: What an amazing start to this new shared world adventure. This is my first book by this author, but it most definitely wont be my last. The concept is novel and amazing, and the world building was so complete and well done I enjoyed every page and was unable to put the book down. Ezryn and Rhile were such an amazing couple and while my heart broke for them a couple of times, the author did such a wonderful job putting it back together with their absolute love and devotion to each other. There is such an amazing cast of side characters that although this is a shared world where only the concept is the same, I hope Notaro decides to write more in this world she’s created
