Hiya, Team Caps! Thanks for volunteering to guide your team through a round of BookShelf Bingo! Your job, should you choose to accept it, will require a few things:
1 ~ Be our go-to person should we have any questions about your team
2 ~ Organize your teammate's weekly reads for each shelf/category so that the BSB Ninjas can quickly and easily verify and approve your stamp request(s)
2a ~ Create a master list in a post (preferably on the first page of your team's thread) and update it weekly or as often as necessary
2b ~ Post your team's stats on the Captain's Log prior to requesting a stamp
3 ~ Encourage and motivate your team (you may also ask to borrow Judithe's whip whenever necessary)
4 ~ Post regularly to ensure your team is communicating and on track each week
4a ~ Send them a PM and friendly poke if they haven't posted at least once a week, noted their book choice, and/or appear to have dropped out of webspace
5 ~ Send us a PM (Steph, Sandra or Judithe) should you need us for any reason throughout the game

I'm going to read The Beginner's Guide to Necromancy Series by Hailey Edwards. There are 9 books so if the rolls are right... :-DI've read a couple other of her series and I always need some E letters. Lol.
Sunshine✰✰✰ wrote: "I'm going to read The Beginner's Guide to Necromancy Series by Hailey Edwards. There are 9 books so if the rolls are right... :-D"I really enjoyed that series and hope you do too. I liked the epilogue stories less, but overall it was a good read. If you like them, you should check out the spin-off The Potentate of Atlanta.
Happy reading, y'all!
Eldarwen wrote: "Anyone have any ideas for a spiffy team name?I'm not really all too good at those.."
I am not very good at team names either!
Me either - I sometimes feel I have almost no creativity. A couple I liked from Google:
Double booked (or Overbooked)
Need to Read
Novels at Night
Although "Team 14" also works :)
Fearless Fourteen?? Or is that plagiarism? heheh"Need to Read" sounds good. With anything sounding similar to "need for speed", I think of this scene in Top Gun every single time.
That's funny! I've been watching The Mindy Project on Hulu and there was a couple episodes where her boyfriend got a Bomber jacket and was walking around quoting the movie. Lol
Haha love the gif. Fearless Fourteen is good too - probably don't have to worry about plagiarism. :)
As a team name: "We feel the need, the need to read"?Only a few more hours until first shelf call!! :-D
Oh, the excitement!!
I like that one - and now I can chant it daily :) I'm excited too - I'm glad we didn't have to wait too long!
First shelf has been caaaaalled!!Shelf #1 ~ 24 Feb: Book Boyfriend (s)
DIRECT LINK(s) ~ Book Boyfriend -OR- Book Boyfriends
I just realised we didn't actually talk about captain, did we? Amidst all the Top Gun talk haha.I can do it if nobody else wants to :-)
That would be awesome if you can captain! Thank you. And yay for the first announcement - I LOVE finding and choosing books!
It's the best part!!As soon as the shelves are announced, I always go through them and mark down potential books I could read for various shelves. And then I rarely ever stick to them haha!
Except for the shelves I have more trouble finding books for as they aren't generally something I read. That's where the list comes in handy, so I don't accidentally read the limited options I have for those shelves for a different one ;-)
It's getting late (I'm in Europe), so I'm going to leave the first shelf call decision until tomorrow. Quite a few choices there! But, for Freespace, I've known what I was going to read ever since Bingo was announced hehe. Namely this month's BOM -
:-DHappy book hunting, reading and have a good day!
Here are my selections:Free Space: Spider's Trap Series
is #9 on the UF series list
Round 1: My Lady Jane which is on page 10 of the book boyfriends list
Aww, Harry Dresden <3I'm anxiously waiting to get my hands on books #16 and #17 as soon as they're out in the paperback edition I have the rest of the series in hehe. Soon!!

Review
It took me a looong time to get into this story. I didn't like the flashbacks. I'm just not really a fan of teen-aged romances. And while I enjoy a good head-strong alpha male, I'm not a huge fan of bully romances either. But I pushed through and by the last 20%, I was sold. I can't say that I will continue the series though.
Nice review! I'm glad it at least ended well :)I've been slower than I'd like because I had a dizzy day yesterday - not sure what was wrong with my poor head but all I could do is lie very still with my eyes closed. So annoying! But I'm really enjoying Lady Jane. Such a funny and fun alternate history.
Oh, that does not sound great, Suzanne. Hopefully that isn't something you're dealing with too often!I often get headaches over the weekend due to the rhythm change from the rest of the week (especially when it's been a stressful work week) but this weekend that was definitely not my excuse haha.
Blood Heir is a quick read though, so once I sit down and actually read for a while, it'll be done quickly enough :-)
Glad you ended up enjoying the book despite everything, Sunshine! :-D

Hope you feel better!
Are you reading a physical copy? I had managed to get the book through an inter-library loan and I got the hardcover. I could barely carry it out the door! LOL! I was like, I'm supposed to get this done in only 2 weeks?!Mind you, I do a lot of audiobooks and I even have my kindle read to me, so I "read" all the time. In the car, doing chores, on the treadmill, on lunch break, sitting on the couch bored playing Candycrush. Lol! So when I have to actually read a book... 😳

I listened to that one on audio too - I thought the audio was very well done.I'm thankful for kindles for those big books. And for audio :)
Haha, for the big books, audio or kindle is definitely an advantage, but I am a paperback reader for the most part, with the odd hardcover in between. And I do love a big book! It is just a bit of an issue to carry them around...
