Maybe if authors were occasionally allowed to suggest their own work, it may give you broader options rather than always trying to come up with suggestions that often don't appeal to many. However, I do understand why that may be an invitation to disorder on the thread in its own way.
Cheryl wrote: "I do read the promotional posts by authors, and have yet to find a book that appeals to me. Sorry."Haha! Nice retort. But maybe therein lays the problem of finding suggestions. The group is somewhat stunted by the limitations imposed. I haven't seen anything suggested that has made me want to join in for a long time.
Have to agree with you Harry..What might not appeal to Cheryl might very well appeal to other readers..Some amateur authors have put some mighty interesting stories out there..Some of us worked hard at them ( I worked at mine on and off for ten years) and we just lack the know how or financial means to put them in the proverbial spotlight...Myself included..
Cheryl, maybe in your first post you can add all the suggestions so they are in one place? They’ll be easier to find.
Tome Addiction recommended in another thread A Gift of Time by Jerry Merritt and it looks promising to me, so I'm adding it.
It seems likely that Time Traveler's Wife will win the poll for our March read, so I'm adding the probable losers that I nominated to this thread.Mastodonia by Clifford D. Simak
I started
Oona Out of Order by Margarita Montimore a couple of nights ago, and it's the best thing I've read since Replay. In fact, it reminds me of Replay a lot because of all the musical references. I highly suggest it as a group read. I kind of wish I had someone to talk to about it now actually.

The Year of the Quiet Sun by Wilson Tucker because it was a Hugo nominee and because of this review: https://eclectictheist.wordpress.com/....
Sorry I accidentally deleted my intro. post.Added are books nominate for June 2021's group read (even though they are not nominated here).
Keep adding suggestions of books you're keen on reading!
Do we want to include stories about multiverses? The Space Between Worlds by Micaiah Johnson looks really interesting.
The reason I suggest we do is that TT often focuses on the result of making a different choice in one's past, creating at that point a different universe (eg, one where the character didn't marry that man, or didn't take that train). Johnson's book lands in the same place, it seems, just skipping the TT gimmick.
