Me too! That's why I had so many of these exams in the past 18 months. The regular eye doctor (new to me) thought my nerve looked odd and sent me for consult. That doc thought it looked weird and sent me to another. I've seen him 5 times to track the progression or lack thereof. Hasn't changed and my vision's not impaired any more than can be explained by aging.

And I just bought a bag of pink & white rhinestones (smaller ones) and glued them to the (really dark) plastic ones I got on the first visit. They match my phone case now!

I've read a couple of these little books and love the cruise setting. This was a cute book with a sweet story but not something I'll remember in a couple of day. Nice way to spend a few stress free hours.

Review:
There is a solid mystery in this book that kept me pondering the options, but more importantly, our cast of great characters grew. I love the dynamics of this 'family'; their idiosyncrasies and backgrounds.

Will clearly be in line for the next book in the series.

Excellent narration by Michael Pauley - for me, his voice is better suited to the characters in this group than some of his other narrated series.

Review: Just as drama filled (if not more so*) than the first installment.

Yes, the rush of new romance can be exciting...but to me a sequel that has the MCs in an established relationship and, despite the obstacles and trials, manages to make it work - communicating, compromising, etc. - just appeals to me. I got brainwashed by that HEA fairytale bullshit as a kid/teen and never realized how much EFFORT that takes...so I appreciate the dose of reality in my romance.

Once again, NJR nails the narration, too!

*If you read the first one and want to read this one be advised that there are some difficult topics covered here. I listened to the audio so I don't know if it comes with TWs...I hope it does because it's not in the precis.

I am going to start a book. If you need to change the cat, let me know.

9. October 31st is Halloween.
🎃Read a book with a holiday theme, bonus points if it's Halloween. You can also read a book in the following genres: mystery, thriller, or suspense. You can also read a book with a costumed person in the cover.

I liked this one better than the first in series. I mean butterfly shifter? Come on folks, that's a new one. Lots of action and evilness and sexiness. Plenty to keep a body entertained. They weren't both lovable at all times (Scott) but it all pans out in the end.

Finally I got to the second book which is a continuation of the storyline in the first book but focused on a different couple. Seth was rescued as a teenager at the beginning of the book and years later his crush on Frost is alive and well. Frost is an interesting character. As his name suggests he's a bit icy with everyone until Seth finally wears him down. All is not peachy because of course he had to act like a total tool towards Seth and they had to save the world in between. You know, the usual. I love this series and all the characters. Lots of action and suspense thrown in there along with a fantastic love story. Can't wait to read the next one.

Interesting, Henry is helping his sister after she fears someone was killed at her nursing home. Mac is being set up although I did think its funny where he ends up running to as if nobody whould think to look for him there.

Review:
First of all - Horror story. Up front and in your face, near the beginning. I very nearly stopped reading. If it hadn't been narrated, I definitely would have stopped. However it toned down in terms of creeps, or perhaps I just accustomed myself to the freak show?, I don't know. In the end, no amount of humour could pull me back into a fully positive mind-frame for the overall story arc.

I definitely will not read book, for all that I love the direction that the MCs' talents lie.

Narrated by Joel Leslie - the redeemer!

Use the initial publication date for this task. You need to select books books published in even months and even years. For example, books published in February 2020 or October 2018 would work, but a book published in June 2019 or July 2020 would not work.
