Makes sense... i returned to comics in 2014, after 20 years without buying any, and Omnis and Absolutes co-existed already, and my "bang for the Buck" was on the Omnis... more content, less expensive (taking into consideration the content... lets call it $ cost per page), also high quality.

The V for Vendetta absolute is f*cking gorgeous, I highly recommend it if you can find it used, got mine for 40 on eBay or Amazon.

As for Y, I have the deluxes and have reread them to death. Would love an omnibus of it which I don't think exists.

I have 2 Top Cow Absolutes too though. The First Born and Artifacts. I really like Stjepan Sejic's art so i grabed them.

Just ordered the Flash Omnibus V1 (Silver Age). I've never read any Silver Age DC so I'll be trying Flash and Justice League.

- Wolverine by Jason Aaron Omnibus vol 1
- Avengers by Jonathan Hickman Omnibus Vol. 1
- Valerian The Complete Collection Vol. 1
- Alpha Flight by John Byrne Omnibus
- War of Kings Prelude: Road to War of Kings Omnibus
- New Warriors Omnibus HC Vol 1
- Avengers / X-Men Bloodties HC
And hopefully i'm done for a while...
Some good stuff. I've never read new warriors and I'm not sure I've ever read bloodties completely.

I also never read it, but seems "nice", and also has Nova. I think of it as an investment, with the "Marvel's New Warriors," TV series coming out in 2018, the book being OOP... the prices will rise. :)

I'm already slowing down since I've so many books to read and such a limited time to do so.
I'm hoping to "return" as soon as possible :)

@Nickviola I tried to resist for a while to buy Alpha Flight Omni... but it reminded me much of my readings as a kid that i couldn't pass on it.

New Avengers Omnibus - Hickman
40001 AD Deluxe
Dept. H Vol 2 HC
Absolute Y: The last Man Vol. 3

- War of Kings: Prelude
- War of Kings
- War of Kings: Aftermath
- Jonathan Hickman's Avengers omnibus 1
Haven't started on any of them, planning to soon. I'm looking around for the Annihilation omnibus, but can't find it at a decent price. Is a reprint possible at some point?
tbh the other Cosmic omnis are a bit of a gamble because I didn't love the first Annihilation that much. But it's such an iconic run that I took the gamble anyway. I have complete faith in my Hickman's Avengers purchase though, his FF is probably my favorite long Marvel run.
A reprint is always possible but there hasn't been any news. I purchased the WOK trilogy also but waiting for an annihilation reprint to read them.

I was going to say: buy the TPB! but i just checked the prices for them on Amazon and im astonished: $138.73 (Used - Good), 256 pages TPB... this world is coming to an end!

Haven't started it yet. I still have to finish Mind MGMT.
I'm really tempted to read Preacher for the third time. The TV show deviates quite a lot from the book but i'm really enjoying season 2. It's much better now that the Saint of killers is in it.
This book (Standard size HC) sounds interesting. And the price for the page count is excellent.

I'm going to give it a shot.

The Uncanny X-Force omnibus is excellent. I assume by both volumes you mean the follow up in Uncanny Avengers? The Remender Uncanny X-Force run has one omnibus or two thick paperbacks. The Uncanny X-Force run is my favorite thing Remender did for Marvel.

If I get one more omnibus this year, that will be the one for sure!

Red Lanterns Volume 2
Green Lantern - New Guardians Volume 2 and Volume 3
Green Lantern Corps Volume 1, Volume 2 and Volume 3
Gotta catch up to rebirth!

Yeah that really is a shame too. There just weren't enough pre orders. I don't think the green lantern rebirth runs will get an omnibus for a long time if at all so I'll just get the trade paperbacks. As for Aquaman I'm going to start reading the character from geoff johns new 52 run which is highly praised. Do you know if that omni for it is coming out? I heard it was cancelled but it's still on amazon.

I heard that The Geoff Johns Aquaman Omni is cancelled but i haven't checked it out to be sure or anything cause i have it and the rest of the new 52 Aquaman as regular HCs.

Ah ok I'll wait and see if it is out it'll be in August which is soon enough.

I've also bought the Bronze Age JLA, Teen Titans, and Brave and the Bold omnis. Got the second Perez WW, Knightfall vol 1, also.
I buy tons of trades, and have a stack about three feet high to get through. I need help. :)

Anyone else into comic strips? I bought the first Prince Valiant from Fantagraphics, and it was a gorgeous book with a good story.
I'm picking up the Prince Valiant books as well. They are doing a boxed set of the first three volumes this fall if you want to wait and pick up those. :)
I'm also picking up the boxed sets of the Don Rosa Duck comics. I have the Complete Calvin and Hobbes and all but one of the Complete Peanuts boxed sets (it's just my luck it's the expensive hard to find one).
The Journey Into Mystery/Loki omnibus coming this week is really good. It's the best thing I've read from Gillen with Vadar being second.

Kitchen Sink used to publish a monthly Steve Canyon magazine that was excellent. They're still easy to find on ebay, but I love these IDW edition.
I'd like to get the Peanuts series, too. Those early Peanuts were a lot of fun.
