What have you added to your collection recently?

Blood and thunder collects Warlock & The Infinity Watch 23-25, Warlock Chronicles 6-8, as well as the Thor & Silver Surfer tie ins.
The Infinity Watch volume 2 collects the Warlock and the Infinity Watch 26-42 + Warlock Chronicles 6, with excerpts from W&TIW 23-25. It doesn't cover any of what the group are getting up to with Thor, but it does include the stuff that sets up for the Count Abyss story line.

Omnis/OHCs/HCs:
Big Damn Sin City
Absolute Identity Crisis
Dreadstar Dynamic Forces Edition (collects the first 12 issues in a signed/numbered limited HC; same content as the Omnibus TBP Vol.1)
A few trades:
Sexcastle
Nimona
Copra Round Two
Marvel The End (have this in premiere HC but wanted the trade to complete my Thanos tbp collection)
Should have my bookcase soon so that I can finally share some proper pics! Still nowhere as near as big as other collections here, but one I'm proud to own.

@Ozan, Mad Tom: Oh really? Any specific reasons? I understand why long-term DC fans don't like it (trying not to give spoilers) but to me the central mystery, wrestling with the decision, emotional reactions and ramifications all "felt real" to me, meaning it was well written. I'm not a die-hard DC fan and for some of the lesser characters, don't know them well enough to say whether they acted out of character or not.

İn my case,
This book just sucked the life and joy out of me while i was reading it... i like dark but that's halloween dark... the fun stuff... but this comic book is just not that dark but a drag. Did they try to make a more realistic story ? may be this was the goal... ? as far as realistic goes, all the realist writers put great amount of humor in their books cause life has humor in it and they don't want you to feel terrible when you read their book... but this book had no humor... it was straight out joyless, humorless, lifeless.. a piece of crap which makes you feel terrible.
On Identity Crisis, I thought the grief scene with Elongated Man was very powerful as was the scene with Atom later on in the story. Those scenes really stuck with me, probably more than anything else in the book. I think the first scene with Elongated Man didn't really resonate as powerfully the first read through, the second time when I read it and was reading slower and soaking in the details is when it really jumped off the page for me.
Absolute Preacher vol 2 should be out today.
Along with: Brubaker Daredevil omnibus vol 2
Guardians of the Galaxy 2 Art of the Movie Slipcase
The Marvel Monsterbus HC vol 1
Strange Fruit HC
Unbeatable Squirrel Girl OHC vol 2

Side note, I received Doom Patrol Omnibus in the mail today. And holy fuck is it a huge book!
I think at least part of the reason for the story was the moral quandary of "do the ends justify the means" kind of thing? This has certainly been tackled before, similarly with Batman having files on how to take down the rest of the JLA (Tower of Babel I believe?) And there were some ramifications for Bruce IIRC.
Anyway, definitely a polarizing book.

On another note, I just ordered the second Brubaker DD Omni along with Brubaker's Scene of the Crime to push it over the free shipping mark. I've been cutting back my spending a lot due to the arrival of my first baby. Hard to find time to read now, but hoping to find more time as the baby sleeps longer chunks of time.

I do a lot of reading late at night and super early in the morning :). Sometimes I'm bold enough to bring an omnibus on the train/tube commute...gets a lot of stares!

Brilliant!
Congrats Reece. Make sure you introduce your kid to comics :)
I'll probably still be in this group when i'm 70.

Congs on the new baby, mine just turned 6 mo!
It´s an awesome experience

Strangely or not, I didn´t slow down it was the opposite...You tend to stay more at home and so you give more attention to "details" your office, your collections, with the baby, and the new home we bought I´ve re-started to collect becouse now I´ve a proper place for my statues and my books, and becouse I wanna stay more at home just relaxing and saving ;)

Re-started collecting (Statues, and Comics) so I´ll share what I got this year, mostly on April...and Cosmic :P

Here´s my new setup:

There´s a couple more things added (comics and TPBs) but you get the picture :)

Same happened to me! You spend more time at home staring at your collection, browsing what's out there, etc. I try to stick to a budget thought, but managed to blow it somehow or another!

That looks AWESOME!

Congrats Reece. :D but you have bad taste in comics :D cause identity crisis sucks.

I've heard Identity Crisis-Watchmen comparisons at least on the interpersonal level, which makes sense for how dark and controversial it is.

You will :)
I would not be into this aspect of the Hobbie if not for IST.

My last post was missing the Marvels Platinum Edition. I saved that for a second post because I know some of us don't understand the size differences of all the different formats. This Platinum edition is the same format as the X-Men Adamantium and I think there is an Avengers too. Marvels is the only one I'll be getting because it is GIGANTIC so not much room for many and I really like viewing the Ross Art in this format. the $100 price tag on IST is well worth it.
These pics show the scale for this crazy format next to Absolutes, Omnibus and regular TPB. Hope this helps anyone who wasn't clear on the difference.

I've been debating getting that myself. My only thing is I kind of want the sequel included so I'm hoping they do a normal omnibus with both in it. It also seems very thick. There's that much extra stuff in there?
I was also curious how Ross' art looked enlarged to that size. On the Kingdom Come Absolute, I felt you could see the texture of the canvas, which is kind of cool on one hand but also hurt the image a little.

I've had some wavy pages on books when they arrive in the mail. They seem to go back to normal when they acclimate to regular temperature and humidity.

Nice shelves Erik! You have a few books I'd love to add to my collection.
