The Bachelor Team Challenge - Round 4 - Q&A, Tracking & Announcements

The third one does, the others don't.

Please remember that all tags/lists must qualify IN CONTEXT!! Links MUST be provided.
Don't make more work for yourself than necessary - if the qualifier is in the title or on the cover, use it! You don't have to go searching for tags to make it work. 😊 If the link you use for the book is the same you are using for the page count and edition - say so (see above edition or something similar)! That saves us all some steps. But please double check your links!
You may use separate editions of your Scavenger Hunt books to qualify for the different tasks. Links MUST be provided.
R is for Rewrite - Read a book with at least a second edition published.
LOL, I don't know what I was thinking... So, to qualify for this task, you need to read a book that has either a second edition (not different publication dates) or a foreign language edition. Please include the link for the other edition you are using to qualify your book in the completion post. I will also accept qualifying information in the precis - an author's note saying the edition is updated, edited or expanded.
R is for Rich - Read a book featuring a wealthy character.
To qualify, the book will need a feature a rich or wealthy character. This can be indicated by the title, series name, precis, tags or lists.
R is for Ride - Read a book with a vehicle on the cover.
To qualify, the book's cover needs to have a vehicle on it. For this task, vehicles will only include land vehicles - wagons, buggies, bicycles, cars, trucks, motorcycles, buses or trains. Aircraft or boats/ships will not be eligible.
R is for Rogue - Read a book with 'Historical' as MPG.
To qualify, your book needs to be have an MPG tag of 'historical'. 'Historical' can be combined with something such as 'romance' or 'fiction', but 'historical' MUST be MPG. Remember your book also needs to be MPG Romance! It may be wise to take a screen shot showing the MPG qualifications if there are concerns of fewer genres being listed (i.e. 'historical' is not high on the list) or your qualifying tag dropping off MPG (i.e. not many qualifying tags and it could be overtaken by other genres).

For the last date, I will not be correcting any completion posts or making any comments, but will be checking the team threads. If the completions are incorrect or missing elements and are not corrected/reposted, the book will not count. Teammates, help each other out! Double check for qualifiers, MPG romance, page count and that all info is in all completion posts! Because I will be checking the threads, please repost all corrections even though I am not the one requesting them! Just a reminder that we are using the first English language Kindle edition page count - I am looking for the earliest dated English language Kindle edition with a page count when checking your books. If your book is labeled first edition or released on the initial publication date, that page count will also work.
PLEASE, include that your post is a repost when making corrections and don't forget which book number it is for you!!
In the Scavenger Hunt thread, I will only be listing the claims that are complete. The first complete post for any book will claim it. If the book doesn't qualify, I will still comment stating so. Follow the dots here - if the book is listed, all is good. If the book isn't listed, but I didn't comment, something is wrong/missing in your completion post - and the book can be claimed by another participant.
I will only be answering questions in the Q&A or Scavenger Hunt threads! If you want a quicker response, post in the Q&A thread.

For example, The Queen's Consorts and the paperback edition has a different date The Queen's Consorts.

For R is for Rich will a MC title such as duke or countess work?"
No, there are often poor nobility - especially in historical romance. You would need something more to qualify.

For example, The Queen's Consorts and the paperback edition has a different date [book:The Que..."
No, the edition would need to be identified as a second edition to qualify. Or have a foreign language edition. A different publication date like in your example doesn't mean it is a different edition, only that the paperback was released later than the ebook.

Probably in context.
It is so hard for me to answer generic questions! 🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️

No, not without a wagon or buggy attached. A horse would be a mode of transportation, but not a vehicle.

Probably, in context.
See the comment above about how I struggle with generic questions! 😂🤦🏻♀️

In context yes. As long as the precis doesn't indicate that the royalty is destitute or something similar it will work.

In context - I would need something to indicate that there was wealth, not just poverty.

I will update the above qualifications as well.
For this task, I am looking specifically for a book that has been rewritten or translated. So different publication dates do not mean that the book has been edited, it only means the book was republished. I will need an edition identified in the publication information as a second edition or a foreign language edition. I will also accept qualifying information in the precis - an author's note saying the edition is updated, edited or expanded.
R is for Rewrite - Read a book with at least a second edition published.

LAST DATE
Date 8 - R - TASK ANNOUNCEMENT
R is for Rich - Read a book featuring a wealthy character.
To qualify, the book will need a feature a rich or wealthy character. This can be indicated by the title, series name, precis, tags or lists.
Remember books must be 90 pages (first edition English language Kindle) and MPG Romance!!
You have until Friday, August 21 @ Midnight US EST to post your completion(s).
Please ensure that your completion post conforms to message #3 of your team thread. If you complete more than one book for the date task, be sure to include that information in your completion post. Remember no discussion in your completion posts! I will not be correcting any completion posts, but will be checking the threads. If they are missing elements and are not corrected/reposted, they will not count. Teammates, help each other out! Double check for qualifiers, MPG romance, page count and that all info is in all completion posts! PLEASE, include that your post is a repost when making corrections and don't forget which book number it is for you!!
*🌹*BONUS ULTIMATE SCAVENGER HUNT ROSES AVAILBLE FOR THIS DATE!!*🌹*
To qualify for this bonus rose, you will need to find a book that fits ALL of the following tasks from this round!
B is for Bed - Read a book with a bed on the cover or in the precis.
To qualify for this task, the book's cover need to show a bed, clearly or implied, i.e. rumpled sheets. Please ask if you aren't sure. 'Bed' or variations of the word, such as 'bedroll', in the precis will also qualify in context. The word 'bed' on the cover will also be allowed in context. This needs to be a person's bed - not a dog bed or a bed of flowers.
A is for April - Read a book initially published in April of any year.
To qualify for this task, the book's initial publication date needs to be in April of any year. If the book has a 'first published date' use that. If one isn't listed, I will be looking for the earliest listed publication date.
C is for Cheek - Read a book with a facial cheek on the cover.
To qualify for this task, the book's cover needs to show a human facial cheek. The cover will need to show at least two adjoining facial features, eyes, lips, nose or ear, to confirm the presence of the cheek on the cover. The presence of two adjoining features will not automatically qualify your book if the cheek is not shown as well - for example, lips and nose but no cheek.
H is for Heartwarming - Read a book tagged as 'sweet' or 'touching'.
To qualify for this task, the book needs to be tagged with something that indicates the book is heartwarming, sweet or touching. If in doubt, please ask.
E is for Enlist - Read a book featuring military characters.
To qualify for this task, the book needs to have a character that is active or former military. This can be indicated in the precis, title, series, tags or lists. The following tags/lists will be allowed: military, vet (not implying veterinarian), veteran, soldier, navy, army, air force, marines, SEAL, Army Ranger, fighter pilot. Combo tags will be allowed IN CONTEXT - so if your book is tagged 'cops_firemen_military', but the precis indicates the hero is a sheriff for example (or even if all the other tags just indicate law enforcement), the book will be disqualified. I strongly suggest you find other qualification if possible - I will be SUPER PICKY with the combo tags.
L is for Loner - Read a stand alone book.
To qualify for this task, the book can not be listed in any series on GR. When I look at the main book page, there can be nothing where the series is typically listed and when I look at other editions of the book, none of them can be listed in a series either.
O is for Ogle - Read a book with at least one naked or nearly naked person on the cover.
To qualify for this task, the book's cover needs to show at least one naked or nearly naked person. I'm looking forward to seeing lots of skin for this task! If they are wearing enough to get service in a restaurant, they are wearing too much to qualify for this task.
To make a claim for the Ultimate Scavenger Hunt Rose, post in the Scavenger Hunt thread with all the required information. Each successful claim will earn your team 5 bonus roses!! Ultimate Scavenger Hunt Books may also be posted in your team thread for ease in tracking, but this is not required as they will not count as regular books for this round.
Traditional Scavenger Hunt Roses are available as usual, using all the possible task requirements for R - Rewrite, Rich, Ride and Rogue. Please post these, as usual, in your team thread exactly as they appear in the SH thread.
You have "R is for Rich" but then " Read a book initially published in the last year." 😉

Cyndee wrote: "You have "R is for Rich" but then " Read a book initially published in the last year." 😉"
Thanks - I knew I would mess something up!

Is this correct Kat....its got to be from last year ?

Is this correct Kat....its got to be from last year ?"
Yeah, the last R was Recent, haha

Rich is the called task for regular books.
Ride would be needed for both regular SH and Ultimate Scavenger Hunt books.
I know it is more confusing this round because I had to change up the Ultimate Scavenger Hunt Rose. In prior rounds, I used all the called tasks but in this round they were mutually exclusive - stand alone, first in series, middle of series. So I randomly picked a number 1-4 and that task from each date is what we are using.

Yes, that will be allowed.

It would need to be the same year as original publication for that to work.

It would need to be the same year as original public..."
Okay, thanks MKat :-)

Anyway, a few things crossed my mind last night (when it was too hot to sleep) and I thought I should point them out so there are no surprises at the end of this date.
● Ultimate Scavenger Hunt Roses do not count as regular books for this date! So they will not count towards any of the rose awards that can be earned each date - Serial Dating Roses, Multiple Date Rose, Longest Date Rose or the Page Turner Rose. They do earn 5 roses for each one claimed, but will not count towards any of the others.
● Have mercy on me if this becomes an issue, but the Ultimate Scavenger Hunt Roses will have a limit of 7 per person. This is in addition to the limit of 7 regular Scavenger Hunt Roses per person.
● Teams with fewer than 6 members, remember some of you will need to double up to get to the minimum of 6 books in addition to everyone completing one book for the called task to earn the Team Dating Rose!

Yes, but I have to add the qualifier 'in context', though I can't imagine how that wouldn't work.

Would this line from the precis work for The Bishop: A Tanglewood Novella?
"His family name and fortune rests on finding two inches of medieval ivory."

Would this line from the precis work for The Bishop: A Tanglewood Novella?
"His family name and fortune rests on finding two inches of medieval ivory.""
Thanks for the link - that helped a lot in determining if that fit the task! In this case, I would say that works - it is clear that the family had the piece that went missing, so the worth is theirs and would make them considered wealthy. 😊

Everyone, double check your posts!! Especially page counts! Check your teammates too! Please double check your links! And remember to include the number of tags and the page number of the top shelves page - this really helps if your link is broken.
Remember, I am looking for the earliest dated English language Kindle edition for the page count.

What about a sharpshooter? States in blurb."
You would need a sports tag or something for that to work. A sharpshooter could be a soldier or a SWAT officer - not an athlete. On its own, no but with something to corroborate it might work.
