Hey, MountainKat, probably a silly/obvious question but IF I am reading a book that I began prior to one of your tasks and it works for that task, may I use it. Since some roses require some speed, I assume not but I don't want to assume. Thanks! :)

B is for Big - Read a book over 300 pages.To qualify, your book needs to be over 300 pages in length. Remember we are using the first edition Kindle page count only!
For clarification, is this the first English edition Kindle page count (if there is another edition in a different language) or just whichever is earlier?

Exciting and exiting are two different words. I would accept exciting, but not exiting - it means something entirely different. If I am misunderstanding your question, please let me know and ask again!

Gah, I overthought this WAY too much! I am not going to allow anthologies for the Longest Date Rose. They will still be allowed for regular books though.
FYI - for anthologies to count at all, you have to read the entire book. There is a question in the Q&A about them.

I have looked at all the Mm Books in the shelf and some normal fiction and they all fit exciting and no connection to exiting so i was thinking it is more likely a spelling mistake ?...and there are lots of same books in both shelves
Hey Kat. One quick question on books that would qualify for B is for Beard. The notes says the model has to have facial hair but what if the book has an illustrated or cartoon cover? Would those books qualify if one of the characters has a beard? Examples below.

It could work for cover, if the cover is on GR, or page count depending on the book. Again, it would at least need to be MPG Romance - that is an absolute requirement for this challenge.

Yay - every team has a name! And, like always, I love the creativity! I only wish I was that creative...We are all set to get started in about 20 hours!
2 questions: 1. For BIG (read a book over 300 pages) is 300 (exactly) okay? 2. May we start our books prior to the task being posted tomorrow at 6:00 pm EST? Say we find a book for the SH Rose, may we start it and be ready to finish it after the tasks are posted or do we wait to even begin reading until it's posted? I ask because in a recent challenge I was able to start prior to the countdown being at zero but I didn't realize it, so I just want to be certain.

2. You may NOT begin your books before the date begins!! That is the case with all challenges in RRRC, books have to be completed entirely in the course of the challenge. That is started and finished during the challenge, or in this case during the date.

If a book has 2 kindle editions published the same date eg. 25 March which by goodreads is also the first publishing date are the both considered 1 edition I found one where one kindle edition is 300 pages and the other is 294 since they have the same publish date can I then use this book for the SH and big category?

As long as both books are English language Kindle first editions with the same publishing date, you can use either.

MountainKat, I'm curious how you'll handle two books (mine and another's) posted at the exact same times in both our team threads and the SH thread. Her's is right above mine but the time stamp is the same. Will we tie?

Your book was posted after the other one, it shows as a minute later when I look. It might have been less than a minute later, but if the line isn't drawn where the book posted first claims it where would you draw it? If one minute isn't fair, then 3 isn't really either, then 5 or 10... So, the first one claims it.
