...adding this just in case I get real invested (slash I just finished grad school and the job market is real special right now, so lots of books it is). I'm not using the B&W list for some of these, but they are on at least one Rory list as I'm going off of the spreadsheet I downloaded from... somewhere.

This is such a great challenge. I'm pumped! Since I joined this club a little late (and have slacked a bunch) this will be a means to catch up and get to some of those books I tried to read and failed to finish. So, this month we are not going to choose one book to read ? We are completing the summer challenge instead?
I am a wee bit late to the party, but I'm going to jump in anyways! This seems like a great opportunity to knock some books off of my tbr. Also, this might encourage me to read books I own before buying new ones! Here's my list: ✔ S: The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde
U: The Name of the Rose
M: The Master and Margarita
M: The King of Attolia
✔ E: Edgedancer

I couldn't create a new topic/thread and the summer challenge resurfaced these feelings, so... Does anyone else feel feelings when looking at the B&W site and noticing how many books were mentioned in S1 and how each season there are fewer (S6 and S7 both make me cringe with just seven books each)?
I've noticed that before and had thoughts about it, but since part of our summer challenge is reading a book from each season, I've been forced to look at this again and it's giving me all of the feels.
Yes. I find that odd myself. Especially since the other lists have a lot of other books. Im doing all the lists though.
I understand and it's definitely a conversation the moderators can have. I think at the time there were so many inconsistencies with the previous list we used, this was the best. I can totally address it with the other moderators.
on a side note: mid summer check! how's it going...I've fallen off the wagon so I'm so far behind!

Holly wrote: "I understand and it's definitely a conversation the moderators can have. I think at the time there were so many inconsistencies with the previous list we used, this was the best. That makes me sad that reading became less of a priority as she got older!
*Mid-summer check:*
I'm doing a lot better than I thought I would be doing, lol. I originally was going to do the seasons but added SUMMER letters because I am going through books so quickly (though slowing down due to library waitlists). When you combine the seasons + summer, I'm at 6/13 and I have another that just showed up from the library.
I agree :( Rory did read a lot less, and I cant be the only one who detested her character after season 4 :(
I was pretty sad to see the lists shrink through the seasons myself. I can somewhat understand though - I really have to make time to read, and it's much more challenging now that I have obligations outside of just school. Maybe if Rory had an awesome Goodreads book club to keep her going things would have been different for her :)I'm also pretty proud of myself for getting through as many books as I have! I'm at 5/7 books in the seasons challenge, and am starting on some summer challenge books this week. Not too bad for having started in late June (though granted a lot of those are super short children's books, but they count!). Just started The Godfather and am pleasantly surprised by how much I'm digging it so far.

I'm asking for ideas from the group.
Ideas I've come up with is a bingo board, a seasons challenge (read a book from each season), SUMMER word challenge (read a book that starts with the title or author of each letter in SUMMER),
I'm open to any other ideas. Comment the here.
