Great review, Melissa! I know from visiting various Civil War battlefields that several women had dressed as men and followed their husbands/boyfriends into battle. I always wondered how they weren't discovered. The guides said that it never would have crossed someone's mind that a woman could do such a thing.

I love the Civil War setting. I'll have to give this book a try sometime.
