Buddy Read Requests

Hi Everyone!

This folder is for buddy reads!! The way this works is that if someone wants to read a book that is not chosen for BotM, you suggest it in this thread. Then, if other members want to read with you they can agree to a buddy read. You choose a date, start a new thread in this Buddy Reads folder for the book and discuss! Make sure you add the title of your book and a date to your thread so others that want to join the discussion know when you're reading.

I want to read that, Alex, but I don’t have the time right now. I’m planning to start The Institute by Stephen King in a week or so. Would you be interested in that? I’ve heard it’s good!

Sounds good, Alex. No pressure if it's not your thing though. There are plenty of other books out there. The group is reading The Picture of Dorian Gray together in March, which is a classic horror. That may be more to your taste.

I have! Sorry! I'm probably going to finish in the next couple of days. I haven't been able to put it down. I need to know what's going to happen. It would be a good one to discuss too.

I have a copy of The Book of Memory by Petina Gappah. I'd be interested in a buddy read but won't be able to start until after the semester is over. Is June too late a start for you. If so, I'll understand.

I would enjoy that very much! It's been on my TBR as well, and it's funny you say you would want to read the first 3 books because that's the only thing I have so far. I figured I'd buy the rest when I'm committed to reading the series ^_^ lol
