Madison ✨ | 90 comments Hi Nancy H.!

I had a lot of fun looking through your read/to-read shelves, especially since we don't have that much overlap which made it fun to look for some new books for me :) Hope you enjoy your picks!

1.Out With The Old.....recommend an older title on your pickees tbr/preferred shelf, and an oldie you loved.

Paradise (Second Opportunities, #1) by Judith McNaught Paradise by Judith McNaught (NEW) - she is one of my all-time favorite authors and this is a great book; its also a book published in 1991.

Fancy Pants (Wynette, Texas, #1) by Susan Elizabeth Phillips Fancy Pants by Susan Elizabeth Phillips (TBR) - this is a great start to a series and SEP is another favorite of mine. Also published in 1989.

2.In With The New.....recommend a new release and a new author to your pickee

Magic Hour by Kristin Hannah Home Front by Kristin Hannah Angel Falls by Kristin Hannah Firefly Lane (Firefly Lane, #1) by Kristin Hannah by Kristin Hannah (NEW) - all books by the same, new to you author who is (yet) another one of my favorites. :) Many of her novels are emotional roller coasters and keep me glued to my seat.

Must Love Otters by Eliza Gordon Must Love Otters by Eliza Gordon (TBR) - this is a new release (well…Dec. 2013) and also on my TBR shelf.

3.Celebrate the New Year with Others....recommend a sexy cover and a cover with an embrace

The Next Best Thing (Gideon's Cove, #2) by Kristan Higgins The Next Best Thing by Kristan Higgins (NEW) - yet another favorite of mine and has an embrace on the cover. I also see that you have All I Ever Wanted on your TBR shelf, this is another good book and I would recommend it.

Something About You (FBI/US Attorney, #1) by Julie James Something About You by Julie James (TBR-kinda) The 3rd book in this series is on your TBR shelf and it doesn't look like you have read any others in the series but I would recommend starting with the first one (you can begin with the 3rd as it isn't the same couple/story continuing but I like reading a series in order).

4.Snuggle up with your pillow and hit the sack early....recommend a shorter title from your pickees tbr/preferred shelf and a new to them shortie.

My Own Miraculous by Joshilyn Jackson My Own Miraculous by Joshilyn Jackson (NEW) - I don't read many short stories but I really enjoyed this one

Christmas in High Heels (High Heels, #3.5) by Gemma Halliday Christmas in High Heels by Gemma Halliday (TBR) - 'tis the season!

LaurLa | 5091 comments Hi Katherine! Here are your picks. We have a lot in common yet not, so it was fun to look through your books and see the differences. I hope you enjoy but please let me know if you need any re-picks. Happy Reading:-D

Out With The Old...
NEW: Mackenzie's Mountain – Linda Howard
I didn’t see Howard on your shelves. This is almost old school category romance, IIRC...it’s been a few years since I read it!
NEW: Flowers from the Storm – Laura Kinsale
You don’t have much, if any, historical on your shelves but this is a classic and worth the read. I just recently read it myself...very emotional and beautiful
TBR: Dead Until Dark - Charlaine Harris
This has been on your tbr for quite awhile. The series starts out wonderful. I haven’t read them all yet, waiting to get some distance from the drama around how she ended the series, but I loved the first five or so I’ve read.
TBR: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe - C.S. Lewis
One of the oldest on your tbr and a classic to boot!

Mackenzie's Mountain (Mackenzie Family, #1) by Linda Howard Flowers from the Storm by Laura Kinsale Dead Until Dark (Sookie Stackhouse, #1) by Charlaine Harris The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (Chronicles of Narnia #2) by C.S. Lewis

In With The New...
NEW: Madrona Sunset - Jami Davenport
New release and an author that doesn't show up on your Read shelf. FYI, this is currently available in the Hometown Heroes box set but should be available early Dec on it’s own.
NEW: Fatal Affair – Marie Force
I was kind of surprised you didn't have an any Marie Force on your shelves. Not sure how much you like Romantic Suspense, but this series is heavy on the romance side ;-)
TBR: Sugar Rush - Belle Aurora
I had no idea there was a new book in this series (which I absolutely loved!) until I saw it on your shelf...and then saw on GR there is a 4th. Soooo hard to keep up with new releases!
TBR: Mai Tai'd Up - Alice Clayton
I just finished Rusty Nailed so I’m almost ready for this one too!

Madrona Sunset (Madrona Island, #1) by Jami Davenport Fatal Affair (Fatal, #1) by Marie Force Sugar Rush (Friend-Zoned, #3) by Belle Aurora Mai Tai'd Up (Cocktail, #4) by Alice Clayton

Celebrate the New Year with Others...
NEW: Wild Heat – Bella Andre
For me, the sexiest covers are those with the oh sooo yummy men only shots :-D
NEW: Reckless – Skye Jordan
They’re definetly embracing!
TBR: Slammed - Skyla Madi
mmmmm sexy...
TBR: Between the Sheets - Julie Prestsater
Probably a much lighter read than the others in this category

Wild Heat (Hot Shots Men of Fire #1) by Bella Andre Reckless (Renegades, #1) by Skye Jordan Slammed by Skyla Madi Between the Sheets (Against the Wall, #2) by Julie Prestsater

Snuggle up with your pillow and hit the sack early...
NEW: Aftershocks - Kristine Cayne
Prequel/first in a series which I like a lot. This shorter story is more of an introduction to the first book which I really enjoyed.
NEW: Mistress Christmas - Lorelei James
This is one of my favorite authors. This is a first in a series that is a bit of a spin-off of her Rough Riders series but you don’t need to know anything about that series to enjoy this one.
TBR: The Weird Girls- Cecy Robson
This looked interesting on your tbr ;-)
TBR: The Bad Boy of Bluebonnet - Jessica Clare -- looks like this might be a wrap up to a series for you…

Aftershocks (Six-Alarm Sexy, #0.5) by Kristine Cayne Mistress Christmas (Wild West Boys, #1) by Lorelei James The Weird Girls (Weird Girls, #0.5) by Cecy Robson The Bad Boy of Bluebonnet (Bluebonnet, #4.5) by Jessica Clare

Passive Aggressive Notes: Painfully Polite and Hilariously Hostile Writings - this kinda looks quirky and been on your shelves for a while (TBR)
Anne's House of Dreams - everyone needs an Anne shirley in their life (TBR)

The Rosie Effect - you added in Sep 14 (TBR)
Heroes Are My Weakness - you have a lot of SEP on your shelves, but I didn't see that you had actually read them - and its a new release to book (N2U)

Sassafrass (sass-a-frass) | 4192 comments Ok, Breann! FINALLY here are your picks. Sorry it took so long, but I opted for sleep last night instead of computer time. Crazy, I know!
Anyway, I really had fun going through your absolutely well organized TBR. I really need to take some lessons from you. :) I added quite a few books to my TBR as well, so thanks for adding to my addiction. LOL

I hope there's something here you'd like to read in this list!

1.Out With The Old.....recommend an older title on your pickees

(TBR) Noah--you've had this on your TBR for a while, it sounds like a cute story and I'm a sucker for hockey players.

(TBR) Guilty Pleasures--Kitty Thomas is the queen of screwing with your mind and this book is no different. Very dark and twisted. I loved every minute of it. It's been on your TBR for a while, so maybe you'd scratch it off your list.

(N2U) Sweet Son-- kind of a sweet, romantic fairy tale type story that I just devoured. It's one of those story that I keep meaning to reread and haven't gotten around to. But, I loved the fairy tale vibe and the BDSM undercurrent that was there.

2.In With The New.....
(TBR) Shield of Winter--great addition to the series.

(TBR) Unwrapping Hank--sounds adorable and just came out, so added bonus.

(N2U) Circle of Change--this would be a completely new to your author, but this book was very gripping. It's YA with a trans character and I really loved it.

3.Celebrate the New Year with Others....
(TBR)O Come All Ye Kinky--the title and cover and title alone were enough to get me to take a second look! LOL

(TBR)David's Selfie--very nice cover

(N2U)The First Real Thing--great book and they are embracing on the cover

4.Snuggle up with your pillow and hit the sack early
(TBR) Five Dates
(TBR) The Trouble With Elves
both of these shorties on your TBR look adorable. I ended up adding them both to my TBR as well.

(N2U)Once a Brat--you've read some Kim Dare and have enjoyed her work, this one was cute.

Ok, so there you have it. Let me know if you want me to repick for you.

Nancy H | 1112 comments Carla_Collette,
I LOVED looking through your lists! You have so many on there that I have either read and loved or currently have on my TBR - so many that sometimes I thought I was looking at my own list! It was fabulous!
It was hard to narrow it down because there were so-o-o many that I wanted to recommend to you. If you don't see anything here you like, PLEASE let me know and I will give you more recommendations. I also have to confess that I added quite a few to my own TBR lists because it seems like we like the same things and you had some that looked good that I hadn't heard about.

Out with the Old: Older ones on your list:
A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith (This one was one of my all-time favorites and I lost track of how many times I read it when I was in high school!)
Older ones I loved: Julia's Chocolates by Cathy Lamb The Peach Keeper by Sarah Addison Allen

In with the New: Newer Releases: The Long Way Home (Chief Inspector Armand Gamache, #10) by Louise Penny (I am partway through the Inspector Gamache series and loving it, and I see that you do, too, so this is the newest one.
Also new release: The Hundred-Foot Journey by Richard C. Morais
New to you author: Glazed Murder (Donut Shop Mystery, #1) by Jessica Beck (I love this series!)

Celebrate the New Year: Sexy cover: Dangerous Highlander (Dark Sword, #1) by Donna Grant
Embrace - Lessons in French by Laura Kinsale

Snuggle up: These three all read very fast: Apocalipstick by Sue Margolis - had me laughing so hard I almost fell off my chair!
The Ladies Room by Carolyn Brown Screwdrivered (Cocktail, #3) by Alice Clayton - also quick reads

Happy Reading!

Kristin,
These look GREAT! I can't decide which one to start with because they all look so good. It's a good thing I have a couple of days to decide. Maybe the Gemma Halliday one since 'tis the season - lol! But maybe a different one - because they all look like quite good holiday reading.

Also, thanks for the recommendation about the Julie James series, because I, too, like to read series in order as much as possible. I will definitely start with the first one.

Have a great reading month!

Nan (xxmzsmilesxx) | 84 comments Hey Kristin, I see you enjoy highlanders!! Me too! Nevertheless here are your picks!

1.Out With The Old
Graceling by Kristin Cashore
I heard it was an amazing series! Tell me how it goes because I was planning to read this.

The Madness Of Lord Ian MacKenzie by Jennifer Ashley
LOL I don't know if this makes sense I've always skimmed this book for my favourite scenes but I haven't actually properly read it.
Though you'll probably enjoy it. Historical romance with an apparently mad male lead and a gorgeous widow, now that's one heck of a story.

Graceling (Graceling Realm, #1) by Kristin Cashore The Madness Of Lord Ian MacKenzie (MacKenzies & McBrides, #1) by Jennifer Ashley

2.In With The New
Twist Me by Anna Zaires
So this is a new author to you. I've been recently into dark theme romance involving themes that are borderline disturbing and guys that are more anti-hero. The man leads actions her questionable wrong, the "love" between them could be called stockholm syndrome but it is so damn interesting reading it. This one of definitely ones I enjoyed.

Shadow Game by Christine Feehan
Well... this is quite a surprise. You don't have the Queen of PNR in your bookshelf Christine Feehan! I love her Carpathian series but GhostWalkers series has tickled my happy bone with their strong female leads and even stronger alpha heroes. I reckon you should give Feehan a go and try the first book of this series and tell me how it goes!

Twist Me (Twist Me, #1) by Anna Zaires Shadow Game (GhostWalkers #1) by Christine Feehan

3.Celebrate the New Year with Others
Archer's Voice by Mia Sheridan
Alright just get your tissues ready because I bawled my eyes out reading this book! It's a part of a standalone series and I do recommend you to read others in it but this one is definitely my favourite.
Oh Archer how I adore you!

Lick by Kylie Scott
This was such a fun book to read! Imagine getting accidentally married to the lead singer of the biggest rock band in the world. LMAO that is exactly what happened to our female lead. The saying "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" really fits this book to the max.

Archer's Voice (A Sign of Love) by Mia Sheridan Lick (Stage Dive, #1) by Kylie Scott

4.Snuggle up with your pillow and hit the sack early
Pink Satin by Jennifer Greene
This was on your TBR shelf and seemed like the shortest book you have. I haven't read it but the story seems like a great contemporary romance set up!

Beauty Touched the Beast by Skye Warren
This is new to you. It's a short read but its a hot read. I've always loved the beauty and the beast theme and I liked this story but the shortness did detract away from the realism within the story, but it was hot hot hot!

Pink Satin by Jennifer Greene Beauty Touched the Beast (Beauty, #1) by Skye Warren

Enjoy your read Kristin. If you want me to re-pick just tell me! :)

Grace | 1732 comments Hi beppy! Sorry for taking so long with your picks. I probably went a little overboard in selections, but I wanted to give you a wide selection so you could have options.

Out with the Old...
a. Comanche Moon (pifm)~~This is one of the older titles on your list.
b. Cut & Run (pifm)~~This is one of the picks that have been on your to read shelf
c. Splendid (new)~~ I have to admit this was a hard one to pick. I don't read as many oldies, and all the ones I had read, you've read. So I'm going with one of Julia Quinn's early releases.

In With the New...
a. Zack (pifm)~~One of the most recent releases on your pifm shelf.
b. The Boy with the Painful Tattoo (tbr)~~The most recent release on your tbr list.
c. Summer at Mustang Ridge (new)~~This was a sweet ranch book.
d. The Nothingness of Ben (new)~~This was the first mm romance I read.
e. Fantasy Lover or Night Pleasures (new)~~ This is the start of the Dark Hunters Series, a paranormal series. Fantasy Lover can be a little cheesy, and is more of a companion book. The series really starts with Night Pleasure.

Celebrate the New Year with Others...
a. Strength of the Pack (pifm)~~Sexy cover.
b. The Troublemaker Next Door (pifm)~~A cover with an embrace.
c. Defying the Odds (new)~~Embracing couple.
d. Before Jamaica Lane (new)~~They look like they're embracing.

Snuggle Up With Your Pillow and Hit the Sack Early...
a. Lumberjack in Love (pifm)
b. Star Flyer (pifm)
c. Fix You (new)~~ I really have enjoyed this series.
d. Club Shadowlands (New)~~ Her other really good BDSM series.

Comanche Moon (Comanche, #1) by Catherine Anderson Cut & Run (Cut & Run, #1) by Abigail Roux Splendid (Splendid, #1) by Julia Quinn Zack (In the Company of Snipers, #3) by Irish Winters The Boy with the Painful Tattoo (Holmes & Moriarity, #3) by Josh Lanyon Summer at Mustang Ridge (Mustang Ridge, #1) by Jesse Hayworth The Nothingness of Ben by Brad Boney Fantasy Lover (Dark-Hunter companion novel) by Sherrilyn Kenyon Night Pleasures (Dark-Hunter, #1) by Sherrilyn Kenyon Strength of the Pack (The Tameness of the Wolf, #1) by Kendall McKenna The Troublemaker Next Door (The McCauley Brothers, #1) by Marie Harte Defying the Odds (Battered Hearts, #1) by Kele Moon Before Jamaica Lane (On Dublin Street, #3) by Samantha Young Lumberjack in Love by Penny Watson Star Flyer by Bonnie Dee Fix You (Second Chances, #1) by Mari Carr Club Shadowlands (Masters of the Shadowlands, #1) by Cherise Sinclair
