Will this challenge continue into the new year? I hope so, but I didn't see one for January.

I decided to not continue this challenge in 2020. You could do it on your own if you wanted to.

Great job, Mary!

So, if we want to keep doing it in 2020, do we just continue on this thread?

No, that won't work. This thread will be put in the archives about the 5th of January.
Since at least a couple of folks seem interested in this challenge continuing, I've created a new version of "Read and Reduce". It's called "Spin to Slim". I'll post it in just a minute.
It's basically the same as this challenge, just with a different title and a different way of getting a number. I hope you like it.

For this monthly challenge, roll two dice. Using the number you got, find books on your TBR list. You will use this number for the whole month. You decide how many books you want to reduce from your TBR pile using the number you rolled.
For numbers 10, 11, and 12, you can use either number or both.
For 10, you can use '1' or '0' or 10.
For 11, you can use '1' or 11.
For 12, you can use '1' or '2' or 12.
Example: you rolled a 7. You can read #7 on your TBR list
the books can be published in a year ending in 7
the books can be published in July (the 7th month)
the books can be the 7th in a series
the books can have a 7 in the page number
the books can be on the 7th page of your TBR list
It's up to you how the number connects with books from your TBR list.
If you are participating in the Scale Your TBR Mountain Challenge, feel free to use this challenge to fulfill your commitment there.
Happy reading and let's reduce our TBR lists!
