I’m reading Less by Andrew Sean Greer. This will be my first challenge book as it’s my book group’s January read.

I think I'm going to go with Pride but I do have some back up options in case I end up putting it in another categoryRecursion
Empire of Lies
Gone Girl
Vicious
Blood of Elves
Unwind
Also as I was going through my back ups I realized I'd added two that had ATY or in the title. I don't know why it's so easy to miss the letters
I’m going with Virgin River...it’s out of my comfort zone as I don’t usually like Romance books but I saw an episode of the new series on Netflix when at a friends and thought I would give the books a go.
I'm new to the group and the challenge and I am not confident I'll be able to keep up, but I'm going to start with Relic by Douglas Preston
1. What are you reading for this category?Finders Keepers by Stephen King
2. Was it difficult to find titles that fit?
Not really; I had quite a few titles on my physical TBR shelf that didn't contain A, T, Y. It was hard avoiding those pesky little A, T, Y's that decided to hide and present themselves after making a list of book titles that I owned.
Started IQ84 last night for this. I already had it in loan from the library, and it fit the prompt, not sure what I think yet.
I just finished Becoming by Michelle Obama. After having it on hold all last year it finally got to me. I loved it and powered through it in a few hours to take advantage of quiet time before getting back to work tomorrow.
I am reading Honolulu. I loved Moloka'i last year and wanted to read more from Hawaii and Brennert. I am listening to the audible version.

Don't stress about keeping up too much, remember the point is having fun with reading and maybe push yourself a little bit. This is an easy going group, so I hope you will like it here. Good luck with your challenge.

Agree - Finding new books and enjoying them among virtual friends is enough! This is your challenge to enjoy.
I'm looking so forward into diving into this challenge! I'll be reading Origin for this category. It wasn't my first choice, but upon proofing my list I discovered that my first choice (forgotten now) had a "y" in the title! This is, however, a series I enjoy so it's a great way to start the year.
I am reading Pompeii for this category. I limited my search for an option to my TBR and there was not that many to choose from then. So ready to put myself in a different time era. Will be an interesting start of the year!
Am I taking this prompt much too literal to say Rock Needs River: A Memoir About a Very Open Adoption would fit this category? Rock Needs River fits, but the last part is making me say find something else!
I had about ten options on my TBR for this week but I decided to read Queenie by Candice Carty-Williams. It’s a book I’ve been meaning to read for a while as it seems to be one of those everyone-is-talking-about-it books (in the UK at least). I’m enjoying it so far and it seems like it’ll be a fairly quick read.
Shari wrote: "Am I taking this prompt much too literal to say Rock Needs River: A Memoir About a Very Open Adoption would fit this category? The other idea expressed a lot was consistency. If you chose to ignore subtitles for this prompt, you'll have to ignore them for other prompts, too. So you can't ignore it now, but then count a subtitle later on for the -ing word in a title prompt, for example.
But, again, it's your challenge so you get to make your own stance/standards. I'm personally having a hard time finding titles without A, T, and Y if I also count the subtitle, so I might need to ignore them. But, I feel like I'm cheating, too! It's an ethical quandary for sure :)

Steve wrote: "Shari wrote: "Am I taking this prompt much too literal to say Rock Needs River: A Memoir About a Very Open Adoption would fit this category? Rock Needs River fits, but the last part..."Those are my thoughts as well. I went ahead and read it, but that's the only topic that I will stray from. I don't mind going against the grain, but I'm also a bit of a strict "rule" follower!
I'm so excited to start this year. This week's will be El Bosque de los Pigmeos by Isabel Allende. I'm not really sure of how to link it from my phone. But I hope is a great book :)
I read Queenie for this topic and I loved this book so hard. It was immensely personal and touching. While I cannot relate to everything in Queenie's life, I could empathize with her, and connect with the character on multiple fronts. I cannot recommend this book enough! I do not normally read "chick lit", but I would say this book loosely fits into that categorization.
Some of the books that I'm thinking offGemini by Penelope Ward
Rushed by Brian Harmon
Buck Fever by Robert Rupp
Rounds by Dan Nygard
Source One by Allyson Simonian
1347 by K Gauthier
Power of Mind by Alice Treaty
These are all books that are on my kindle, can't remember getting these but on a mission to bring down the numbers of books on my TBR this year
Inferno by Dan BrownI've read all the other books by him, so this is a nice excuse to pick this on up :-D
Wishful Drinking by Carrie Fisher. It wasn't particularly difficult to find as I've been meaning to read something by her for a while!
I had a nice amount of books that would've fitted for this one - a decent selection, but not a huge amount. I was going to go for Who Killed Sherlock Holmes?, because I liked the challenge of finding a long title, but then I heard Neil Gaiman was putting out a sequel to Neverwhere in 2020, so I decided to re-read that to be ready for the next one, since it's been a scary amount of time since I first read it.
Luckily I was already halfway through Shrill: Notes from a Loud Woman, so this was an easy one! (I'm considering the title as just being Shrill)
I also just finished reading Circe!! I didn't know a lot about Greek mythology so sometimes I felt a little lost but overall it was a fun read.
I read Circe for this, and I am so glad I did! I was enchanted. It definitely lived up to the hype for me.
I also finished and enjoyed Circe by Madeline Miller. I listened to the audio book and the narrator was excellent. I did prefer The Song of Achilles though.
Hello, I am new and I am excited about this challenge. I was surprised to find several books on my TBR that fit this week’s category. Here are my options:
Queenie
Girl in Pieces
Hollow Kingdom
Crossing by Pajtim Statovci (couldn’t link)
I also have a few ARCs coming out in January, so I will likely choose from those.

I read Crooked Kingdom and absolutely loved it despite my error or reading King of Scars before so I knew the Thing that was coming. My favourite of her books by far.
1. What are you reading for this category? Recursion2. Was it difficult to find titles that fit? Pretty easy to find books but the library made it hard because I kept getting off books for later challenges.
I just finished Relic - although it was a relatively gripping read, the characters were so wooden that I was rooting for the monster pretty much the whole way!
I started Circe by Madeline Miller on Audible and love it so far! I bought it last year on Audible and saw it on the list of recs for this week - hence a very easy choice.
I finished up a series by reading Rich People Problems, and enjoyed it. I actually had a lot of options, this was a fun prompt.
I had a lot of books that could fit this prompt but went with Summer of '69. It was an easy read and enjoyable.
Given how much I adored The Song of Achilles, I'm going with Circe for this one. If I think of any recommendations that fit this task I'll come back later to suggest them.
I read Unwind by Neale Schusterman. A quick YA read but very thought provoking with lots of philosophical issues at its heart.
