I read Relics. I picked it up in a "bag of books" sale at the beginning of the year!

I finished Wishful Drinking. It was a quick but interesting read, made enjoyable by Carrie Fisher's acerbic wit. It also made me miss her a lot.
I read Pure by Andrew Miller - a fascinating historical novel about a young engineer tasked with the demolition of Paris' oldest, overflowing and stinking cemetery, in 1785. Such a great writer.
I read Pompeii By Robert Harris for this category. Neither this edition or the Swedish edition that I read contain the letters A, T or Y. I went through my TBR to find a book with a title to match the category and then check the availability at the library for the different options. This was available and I liked it. Interesting read,
1. What are you reading for this category?Heroine by Mindy McGinnis
2. Was it difficult to find titles that fit?
Not at all
1. What are you reading for this category?Home Fire by Kamila Shamsie
I am more than half way through and enjoying it quite a bit.
2. Was it difficult to find titles that fit?
It wasn't difficult to find books that fit but I was searching for something on the shorter side because I have 2 chunkers on my January TBR. That was a bit more challenging.
1. What are you reading for this category? I read Beguiled for this prompt, a lovely romance novel set during a really interesting historical event. I enjoyed it a lot, and actually liked it much better than the first in the series!2. Was it difficult to find titles that fit? Nope. I seem to read a lot of books with one-word titles, and that made it pretty easy to find something.
I read Kindred by Octavia E. Butler for this prompt. It was interesting....hard read at some times because of the subject matter. This was my first book by Octavia Butler.
I read Indexing and have just about managed to get it done in the first week.It wasn't a dreadful book but not my favourite.

This was one of my favourite reads last year! Enjoy
I just finished Empire of Wild by Cherie Dimaline for this one. I think I liked it? The subject matter was a bit out of my usual (mythical creatures etc) but I liked the writing. I had read her The Marrow Thieves for Canada Reads and liked it but didn't love it, I think partly because I don't love YA. I thought the writing was stronger in this one (which isn't YA).
Woop, book 1 week 1!What are you reading for this category? Binge by Tyler Oakley
Was it difficult to find titles that fit? Nah, I had 16 books on my long list.
I didn't really know who this guy was when I bought the book. I've since seen him on an episode of Drag Race and he seemed decent enough. I've still not checked out his Youtube, so all I know about him is what I read in this book, but that is still the impression that I have of him - decent, and also very funny. I actually picked this book up as the title and description lead me to believe he'd be discussing his eating disorder, which is something I'm always interested in reading about. On that point, I'll say I was a bit disappointed. There is only one section of the book where he gets into the topic and it isn't at any great depth. Not that anyone is beholden to share their deepest struggles, and I do respect that he at least chose to share some of his experiences. But this is more about the crazy life of an internet celebrity, and while it's an amusing book with some (sometimes awkward) revelations it isn't exactly a emotional read. If I'd have known who Tyler was before then I'd have probably known that, and been able to enjoy this more for what it is - fluffy, like a chat with your girls when you've all had too many cocktails (that is, if your girls were all pop-obsessed gay guys). And actually, sometimes that's the kind of read you need.
I started Evelina before the new year, which sadly has an A, but now I've got that out of the way, I'm going to start on Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail. I personally ignore all subtitles for my challenge, whether they help or hurt me. Fingers crossed that I like this one as much as everyone else does!
If anyone is looking for a scifi book for this prompt, there's Seveneves by Neal Stephenson. I'm about 300 pages in and so far it's been an enjoyable read despite some less-than-stellar characterisation.
Happy New Year! I am reading Recursion for this.
It was not a really hard prompt to fill
because Recursion was already on my TBR
and I just picked it up from the library.

My 2020 list.
I read Frog Music by Emma Donoghue. This was my first encounter with Donoghue's work. It was quite raw and will probably haunt me for some time.
I read Honolulu for this prompt. It was a bit more difficult than I thought it would be to find a book for this, but there were still plenty of choices.
1. What are you reading for this category?I read London Belles by Annie Groves, I seem to be on a bit of a historical fiction kick at the moment.
2. Was it difficult to find titles that fit?
Honestly, I seem to approach these challenges more from the point of I will read what I like and see if it fits a prompt first, finding an interesting prompt and going to find a book that fits second so I am not sure but there are some great suggestions already mentioned that I might read for other prompts.
1. What are you reading for this category?Finding Our Forever by Brenda Novak
2. Was it difficult to find titles that fit?
No, since I'm doing BN's 2020 Reading Challenge, also!
1. What are you reading for this category? Flowers of Mold
2. Was it difficult to find titles that fit?
No. I had many choices. I thought of doing Deosil; but since Flowers of Mold found its way to my Overdrive account, I might as well read that now since I own Deosil.
I read 'Cinder' by Marissa Meyer.Yayyyy! So original! :-D
But, I've been wanting to catch up on the Lunar Chronicles for years, but was unable to. So, now was the chance!!!
I read Philip Larkin, Jill for this prompt - published in 1946, it's aptly described as a portrait of Oxford during WW2. An intriguing read - and at times rather uncomfortable.
1. What are you reading for this category? Nod2. Was it difficult to find titles that fit? It was pretty easy, although going with my short title option meant I wouldn't mess it up.
1. What are you reading for this category?
2. Was it difficult to find titles that fit? Somewhat - I was reading it to finish my Winter Challenge and had to decide between this prompt or the place name prompt. I decided this one might be harder to fulfill, so I went with it.

1. What are you reading for this category?I read Behind Closed Doors by B.A. Paris.
2. Was it difficult to find titles that fit?
I really wanted to fill as many of the prompts with books that were already on my shelves so that added a bit of a challenge. I managed to fill 46 of the 52 prompts with books I already owned. The ATY community was also really helpful with lots of suggestions for each of the prompts.

So I went with Followers by Megan Angelo, and absolutely devoured it, and just really think this new release needs to be talked about more!
