I was going back and forth between the two for this week. I'm barely into mine but loving it so far.

Almost made it to the 5 star mark but lacked the angsty bits that I need in order to push it over the top. I did really, really loved it though. Quackle and Hank. So freaking cute. A lot of Aussie speak in here but that just made it better IMO. Boy, they take their footy and Aussie breeding seriously. lol. Learned a bit about sheep but didn't feel like I was taking a course in it or anything. Just enough to understand Hank's life. My main complaint was when Hank lost his bottom V-card we didn't get to see it first hand. We heard about it from his musings. WTF? I want the details while it's happening, gosh darn it all! See, didn't even bother me enough to curse. These two, their friends and neighbors, their families...all great secondary characters. Can't wait for my next Renae Kaye book. She's fast becoming one of my favs.

I will read a standalone

I liked the first book Unridden and was liking forward to Bucked as it's the story of Mustang, who was introduced in book one. It was a pretty fast read. It ended a bit to quick IMO, needed just a bit more of the relationship of Mustang and Sage. It was nice to see Slade and Jenna from previous book. All in all an okay read, but nothing special.

I have read a standalone

This was okay. It was a fun idea about a scavenger hunt between strangers starting in a bookshop.
I liked Lily okay but not Dash so much, it seems he is nice to his friends but he can be rather rude to other people. I liked Boomer and especially Great-aunt Ida who seemed to be quite a character. It was cute and funny in between but just didn't draw me in.
(the word perusing was used several times in my book. lol)

Review: This book was very similar to the previous books, but that's ok. I still enjoyed it. I'll keep reading the series though, I'm liking the tortured hero scenario and the lines are witty.

Review: It didn't suck, it wasn't great. That about sums it up. Another book with the premise...if they had just talked a little more.... I do love me some noisy man sex though. Yum! Also loved that one of the MCs was over 40. Makes it just a tad more interesting to me. This was another mission in the fight again the Umbrae and how the MIA works to get it all done. Entertaining but probably not memorable.

This is definitely a cracky book. It's gritty and hard, but a total guilty pleasure. The are some things in this book that are disturbing, but you can't stop reading. Eve and Deuce spend a lot years inbetween apart, but when they are together, fireworks. Eve/Frankie relationship is so strange and really disturbing. Kami is one crazy lady

This was a book with humour and mystery. Being an identical twin myself with a mother who is also an identical twin makes it fun to read as that is what the main character is. Though I haven't discovered my own magical abilities yet. I also like that there is a twist that I hadn't seen coming.

Teams will roll on Sunday (12/21) two times for two spots. No rolls on 12/25, 12/28, and 1/1. Both book's deadline will be 1/4 and then the game resumes it's normal schedule.

Review: Ok, I think I'm going to switch it up for the next roll, cause this series is kinda wearing on me now. I like the Burlesque dancer thing but I think I'm ready for something different.

lmao, I was just going to ask that! Thanks Danielle.

Okay, I'm going to go with 3 stars for this one because it looks like it might be the first work for the author and I did finish it. That said, the editing was horrific. There was an entire section of the story that repeated (I'm sure on accident) towards the end. I thought I was having some kind of weird deja vu. The story itself was entertaining though. A love triangle with hot boys! Okaaaaay!! Realistic? Probably not, seeing as I don't remember reading about even one drop of lube or a single condom. So maybe more of a love triangle with hot, not so smart, boys...At least he had Em, his ever faithful best girl friend. If the next book is still about these three I'll probably pick it up just to see how they could possibly make the whole thing work....and hope they went to the store for supplies.

Review: This was a cute little book that I got on sale on audible.com. It was ok, I like my historical romance novels to be a bit more humorous but it was ok. There was a little mystery to solve but it was pretty obvious.

Review: What to say? What to say? Well, I wanted to love it. I tried to love it. It just didn't work. I didn't really feel the chemistry between the MCs so never really cared if they got together or not. I don't know why. The story itself was interesting enough. A reporter following a rock band around....I think I was rooting more for Lars and Aiden. Hmmm. And towards the end when the shit hit the fan? Well, it was just depressing. It's like everything fell apart and I was left wanting. Nobody really seemed okay. Weird.
