Buddy Read Requests
Who was it that wanted to read Alan Cumming's book? I finally got it from the library but I don't see a buddy read for it. Anyone still want to read it?
That is me, MAry!! I have the book here. Not sure how long I have to read it but I'd like to do a BR with you for it.

Good warning! I love this series, but I always warn people when I recommend it to them. I just finished Indelible last week.
I actually started it this morning in the car. I have the audio. I could listen to his voice all day. So mods can we have a thread for Not My Father's Son?
Is anyone interested in a Buddy Read starting Jan 30th
,246 pages, 1961 by John Howard Griffin (Author). The write up about the book -- He trudged southern streets searching for a place where he could eat or rest, looking vainly for a job other than menial labor, feeling the "hate stare". He was John Griffin, a white man who darkened the color of his skin and crossed the line into a country of hate, fear, and hopelessness--the country of the American Black man.

Would you like to do "Read and Watch buddy read"?
Kathryn wrote: "Sure! I've already seen the movie before, but I'll happily watch it again. When would you like to start? I own the book so I can start anytime."Would you like to start tomorrow since I have the book also. It's just that I've never given it the time to start reading. I'm not sure how this BR works since I'm a newbie. So how do we do this?

I checked a few books out from the library today. If any of you would join me in a buddy read in either of these, please let me know.
If I remember correctly, someone wanted to start on Along Came a Spider, but I couldn't find any thread for it, and for The Dark Tower Series, I wasn't sure if there was a thread for The Waste Lands yet?

Tea...Blindsighted was only my second "really dark" murder mystery. The author did a fabulous job of balancing the tension with the investigation though. It was a great plot.
The Blackhouse is a favorite of mine and it had a couple of gruesome scenes, but this one gave me goosebumps. Not that I mind, I just have to pace myself. Most of the Crime Mysteries I've read are somewhere in the middle. I haven't had much experience with Mystery-Thrillers that are heavy on the Horror genre...yet. ; )
