A couple of things to keep in mind:
✸ Communication is key. Please make sure to check in regularly with your team.
✸ Let your team know if it looks like you won't get your review posted by Thursday, 11:59pm. You do have all of Friday to submit your review, but it can be intensely frustrating for your captain if they don't know when or if they can expect your review before the deadline.
✸ If you know beforehand that you won't be able to read and review a book during a certain week, you can request a pre-arranged absence from me, either by posting the request in the discussion thread or by sending me a pm. The request has to be submitted before the team rolls for the week in question, can only be approved by me as the mod in charge of running the game, and has to state a reason for the absence. (Reasons for pre-arranged absences can include e.g. going on vacation or work trips, planned hospital stays, exam period, etc.)
✸ If you do not have a pre-arranged absence and won't be able to finish your book in time for an unforeseen reason, please let your team know as soon as possible. If the team has earned the free pass, it can be used to cover the missing review. Without a free pass, the team has to sit out the next roll.
✸ We all know that real life gets in the way sometimes, be it through family emergencies, work emergencies, natural disasters, technical problems making it impossible to get online, or in other ways. That being said, please do keep in mind that this is a team challenge and your team relies on you to do your part unless an emergency occurs.
✸ If you find that the pressure of keeping up with the pace of the game gets too much for you or you wish to stop playing for any other reason, you can drop out of the challenge at any time. In that case, please let your team captain and/or me know that you wish to drop out rather than just disappearing without a word so your team won't be penalized when you fail to turn in your review. Thank you!
Captain's Handbook
✸ The team's captain is its chief organizer. This includes rolling the dice, posting the team's new spot to the team thread and the Post Your Spot thread, collecting links to team members' review posts in a single post to be linked in the Post Your Spot thread, doublechecking that books and review posts comply with requirements, reminding team members to post their reviews in time if necessary, etc.
✸ The captain may delegate some tasks, such as rolling and posting the new spot to the team thread, to another team member if they so choose. (Either a designated roller who fulfills this role every week, or whichever team member is online first once rolling is possible.) Collecting reviews into a single post and posting to the Post Your Spot thread should always be handled by the captain.
✸ Instead of having everything handled by a single team captain, teams can also choose two co-captains to handle the workload.
✸ Selection posts are not strictly required by the game's rules and I won't be checking for them. It's up to the team captain to decide whether they want them.
✸ If the team captain requests a pre-arranged absence, it's their responsibility to arrange for another team member to step in as temporary captain.
✸ The team captain is my primary point of contact for the team and should allow receiving private messages.

Team Names some that come to mind
Double the Trouble, Twice the Pleasure
Two to Tango
Double mint
It Takes Two Baby

I'm also a fan of Double the Trouble as well as It Takes Two Baby. :)

I would rather not be Captain, I am already on duty for another couple of challenges and go on holiday in two weeks time so won't be able to have constant access to the pc.
I like Double the Trouble and Two to Tango :)

Thanks Lindsay! I don't mind helping out certain weeks if you need it!

Spot: 7 (Alternate: Published in 2016)

Pages: 336
Qualification: Published in 2016 (alternate)
Date read: 8/31/2019
Rating: 3 stars
Review
If the first half of this book had been as good as the last half, this would have easily been a 4 star read. As it is, the first 10 to 20 percent was hard to get through. I was unsure I'd even be able to finish. Then, by the time the 50 percent mark came around, I was really into it and wanted to know what was going to happen.
I struggled with liking Kali at first. I realize she's only 20, but she just struck me as very immature even for that age. The constant repetition of the fact that she's known as The Warrior got old fast as well. She became much more likeable although as the book went on, and I found myself rooting for her and her team.
All in all, this was a bit of an uneven reading experience. I did end up enjoying it, but the first part was definitely rough. I am planning on reading the second book though to see what happens next.

Week 1
Spot: 7

Book: Dirty by Kylie Scott published in 2016
Finished: September 2, 2019
Rating: ★★★
Review
I enjoyed this book but I found it a cliche and an easy read which is why I couldn't go any higher than 3 stars. I thought the characters were pretty well written and the story line was interesting but there was no real substance or plot twists. Easy reads are definitely enjoyable and I would recommend this book to a friend if that is what they are looking for. The book also had a bit of humour adding somewhat of a romcom aspect to it. The beginning was slightly better than the end as I found it started to get boring.

Week 1
Spot: 7

Book: Not Dead Yet by Phil Collins
Finished: 3rd Sept
Rating: ★★★★
How it fits: Published in 2016
Review
Being a child of the 80's, I will never forget the first time I head "In The Air Tonight" to this day the song still gives me goosebumps and I adore it. I don't know much about Phil Collins to be honest apart from what I have heard in his lyrics whilst listening to his albums and of course watching him play Buster Reynolds on TV. The book was really good, he is very open and honest about his life and failures of which there are a fair few, especially involving his love life. I listened to the audiobook version which was even better as Phil narrates it himself giving the story an even more personal touch. Throughout the book I found him to be extremely humble and I don't think he even realised at the time just how much of a star he had become, which is quite refreshing in this day and age of reality tv "celebrities" (I use the term loosely)

Week 1, Spot: 7

Book: Town in a Cinnamon Toast by B.B. Haywood
Finished: 9/03/19
Rating: 2 stars
How it fits: A Candy Holliday Mystery #7 and published in 2016 - bonus point
Review: I think reading this out of order minimized my enjoyment of the series. The plot moved slowly, the characters seemed out of character and I was lost for the first part of the book. All in all, not a bad story, just not great.

Week 1, Spot: 7
Book:

Author: Robyn Carr
Finished: 9/03/19
Rating: 3.5 stars
How it fits: Thunder Point #7
Review:
Although I read this out of order and being the first one I read in the series I was not lost at all. Good references were made to some prior story lines and also ties in with her Virgin River series.
This book was a sweet romance. The main characters are Grace and Troy. Grace had been a competitive figure skater and had left that life behind. She had bought a small flower shop and was easing into a normal life. Troy was a friend of a friend. They started going out and fell in love, but had some issues to resolve from her previous life. The secondary story lines were good and I kept reading cause I wanted to know what happened. The next in the series deals with a character, Ginger who was introduced in this book.

Book: Heartless
Author: Marissa Meyer
Finished: 9/5/19
Rating: 4 stars
How it fits: Published in 2016
Review: I am always cautious with reading re-tellings of stories but Marissa Meyer always does a fantastic job. This book tells the story of Catharina Pinkerton - a wealthy woman with expectations of marrying the King when she would rather be with the Joker for love and own a bakery. The story goes through her trials and inner turmoil with if she should appease her parents or follow her heart. I loved the scene with the Tea Party and I enjoyed the dialogue between Catharine and the Cheshire Cat.
