Hey! Thank you so much, can't wait to get started in October :D

I had a lot of fun looking through your shelves. We have a lot of books in common but there are some my favorites that you haven't read yet. I've tried to give you a mix of books from y..."
Hey Vi,
Thanks for all those awesome picks. All of them look so good. But could you change Angels Fall please? I've already read the book. In fact I have read quite a few stand-alones by NR. I like them better than the series. I think the only NR series I've finished is the Key Trilogy and In the Garden trilogy. The rest I left it at one or two books. For some reason I can't take an overdose of NR. And since the stand-alones are usually romantic suspense, I like them better.
I'm gonna try an read:

I'm also gonna try and read

1. Contemporary: Recommend a book with a contemporary setting or a book with vehicle on cover.
Gabriel's Inferno by Sylvain Reynard or It Had to Be You by Susan Elizabeth Phillips
2. Classical: Recommend a classic (can be romance) or a standalone.
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen or Son of the Morning by Linda Howard
3. Fantasy: Recommend a fantasy book (urban fantasy counts) or a longer book 400+ pages.
A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness or The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan
4. Historical: Recommend a historical book or a book from series they are currently reading.
Chase the Lightning by Madeline Baker or Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare
5. Paranormal: Recommend a Paranormal book or a book with an animal on cover.
Moon Called by Patricia Briggs or Slave to Sensation by Nalini Singh or Pride Mates by Jennifer Ashley
6. Mystery/Suspense: Recommend a Mystery/Suspense book or a New-To-Them author.
Naked in Death by J.D. Robb or The Mane Event by Shelly Laurenston or Lord of the Fading Lands by C.L. Wilson
7. YA: Recommend a YA/NA book or a book with family in story.
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling or Alanna: The First Adventure by Tamora Pierce or Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones
8. Sci-Fi: Recommend a Sci-Fi/Dystopian or a new release.
Cinder by Marissa Meyer or An Accidental Goddess by Linnea Sinclair

@Ashley - I'm dependent on airport-provided WiFi until I get home tonight. So sorry for the wait. Will have your picks up first thing tomorrow!

Thanks, Vi. Good to know about the closing time. I didn't realize that it was always that early and seemed to remember it as later in the month.
Thanks also for doing a great job with this!

Yes, I sort of remembered that but didn't realize exactly what was going on. Maybe I need to get my head out of my book long enough to be more observant - lol!

here are your picks - there is one from your TBR and one N2U for each option
1. Contemporary
Girl Least Likely to Marry - TBR
Personal Assets - N2U
Thanks for the great picks, Dee. There are so many good options I'm not sure where I'll start, but I'll probably read more than one.
2. Cl..."

Don't worry Zara, if you don't get your picks by 10 am EDT tomorrow you will get them through repicks :)
There's still 11 hours left........you may get them yet!

1. Contemporary I saw so many good options on your preferred shelf, but I finally chose Jojo Moyes Me Before You. You enjoyed Kristen Ashley's first book in the Colorado Mountain series, so my new-to-you suggestion is to pick up the second book, Sweet Dreams. I'm actually ready to read this and would be willing to do a buddy read if you wish.
2. Classical
I'm not sure how I made it through schooling, never having read Tess of the d'Urbervilles by Thomas Hardy, but of the classics I found on your shelf, this is the one I'd probably pick up to read myself. I would also recommend one of my favorite hero-in-disguise books, The Scarlet Pimpernel by Emmuska Orczy.
3. Fantasy
While I was browsing your shelves, Forbidden Forest by Tenaya Jayne looked interesting so I went ahead and added it to my shelves too. I did not see any Ilona Andrews on your shelves and had a hard time deciding which series to recommend. While I love Andrews' PNR Edge series too, my favorite is still the Kate Daniels books. There's romance in this UF series too, it just develops over the course of more than one book. I would definitely suggest Magic Bites.
Historical
The minute I saw Jennifer Ashley's The Madness Of Lord Ian MacKenzie on your TBR, I knew I had to recommend it. I love Ian & Beth. Ashley does a wonderful job portraying Ian's "madness" and how it affects his relationships with others. I would also add Stephanie Laurens to your list of authors to read someday. I love her Cynster series of which Devil's Bride is the first book.
5. Paranormal
Highland Shift by Laura Harner is another book I ended up adding to my shelves too. Nalini Singh's Psy-Changeling series is one of my favorite. One I'm willing to pay hardback prices for as soon as the new ones come out. You might want to try out Slave to Sensation.
6. Mystery/Suspense
Fatal Affair by Marie Force is another book from your shelves that looks very interesting. Anne Stuart excels at portraying antiheroes, and Nightfall is a fine example of that.
7. YA
I saw Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles on your TBR-owned list and would definitely recommend reading it. You also might enjoy Poison Study by Maria V Snyder. I really enjoyed this first book in Snyder's YA fantasy series.
8. Sci-Fi
The Iron Duke by Meljean Brooks has received mixed reviews, but if steampunk interests you, I think it's worth reading. I didn't see any Ann Aguirre on your shelf and would definitely recommend trying out the first book in her Sirantha Jax series, Grimspace.

Here are my picks for you. I hope that you like them.
