I enjoyed the other parts but it's just that I was so very disappointed in the enemies part. The plus side that I really appreciated was the way both of them handled issues like an adult. So basically I'm sort of ambivalent - some things worked; some didn't.

Nah KarenH. I suspect Enemies on Tap would have worked better if I wasn't expecting so much. Thanks for the suggestion and the kick for Elder Races!

Oh, I didn't think of that! Thank you. That makes me feel so much better about the book:)

I read I've Got Your Number by Sophie Kinsella as my first pick, and I hate that I've put it off for so long. It was a bit odd and quirky but I really had a good time with it. Thanks for the push!

I also read My One and Only by Kristan Higgins , recommended by you. I really enjoyed it. I love reunited/second chance love stories. And this one did a great job of highlighting the problems that couples have where love just isn't quite enough. I have to admit though some of the road trip stuff got a little tedious, but the ending more than made up for that. This is actually the first book I've read by Kristan Higgins. I'm going to check out more of her stuff. Thanks for the rec! I think I've found a new author.

Perfect Chemistry (Perfect Chemistry, #1) by Simone Elkeles was another one of your recommendations, and it was really good. I'm not a huge YA fan, I tend to gravitate more toward NA, but I really liked the way the disparities of the community were highlighted in this one. I think Simone Elkeles was very sensitive to that. Loved the ending and LOVED the epilogue even more. I think I will continue with this series. You've given me another new author!

The last book I got to so far was Breathe (Sea Breeze, #1) by Abbi Glines , and I really liked it. I thought it was just a tad far fetched but that's what made it so good. Perfect fantasy material. I can't wait to continue with the series. It would be nice to Jax and Sadie some more. I was just so sad for Marcus though. I felt he got the shaft in this one.

I'm not sure If I will be able to get another in by the end of the month, but I'll report back if I do.

THANKS again for the great recs and the two new authors you introduced me to. :)

Thenia | 288 comments Tana thank you for the recs. I read two of them but I'm not sure I'll have time to read any more.

One Night in London (The Truth About the Duke #1) by Caroline Linden - Review
Strangers in Death (In Death, #26) by J.D. Robb - Review

I really enjoyed both of them - thank you!

message 208: by Grace (new)

Grace | 1728 comments Hi Larissa! I finished reading Guilty Pleasures and really enjoyed it. It was nice to read a historical that was a little different than the norm. I really liked how Anthony began noticing Daphne without a physical makeover, but by how her attitude changed. I'm going to continue with the rest of that series.

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments hi AArati - I also finished up Accidental Cowgirl last night - cute read, loved that it wasn't overly full of smexy scenes (shock, horror I know) - and only a little misunderstanding rather than a huge one
