LCPL wrote: "QOTD: Hot chocolate, mulled apple cider, or eggnog—what’s your holiday drink of choice?"Hot chocolate!
As with every month, I try to look at it as a fresh start and determine what I would like my month to look like. Also, for December specifically, I really dive into Christmas mode.
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: What’s the first thing you do when December starts?"try not to let the seasonal depression get to me lol
I really enjoy making a cup of hot cocoa, putting on a cozy ambience video, and annotating in my book as I read. If it's at night I love to get cozy in bed and burrow under the blankets with a good book.
..
Either Bookshops & Bonedust or Legends & Lattes by Travis Baldree. There are a whole lot of heartwarming and charming moments in them.
A book that feels like a warm blanket on a cold day:I have a couple that I could list here – The Hobbit, or There and Back Again, Greenglass House, and Legends & Lattes.
If I could gift one book to everyone this season, it would be 84, Charing Cross Road. Regardless of what genre of books you enjoy, this one is such an impactful read among all book lovers. It is such a short read but it is such a gem for anyone who loves books.
QOTD: Do you have any winter reading traditions? (This could be a certain reading routine, a certain book you read every winter, a certain drink you only enjoy during the winter while you read, etc.)
Some of my winter reading traditions:I typically enjoy a cup of hot cocoa in the winter when I read.
I always like to re-read Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening.
I also love reading wintry fantasy books.

Also I enjoy reading a few Christmas books around this time every year to help get in the Christmas spirit.
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: Hot chocolate, mulled apple cider, or eggnog—what’s your holiday drink of choice?"Hot chocolate!
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: Which fictional world would you love to spend the holidays in?"Hogwarts
Edit: or The Shire
Fictional worlds that I'd love to spend the holidays in would be The Shire, Hogwarts/The Burrow, or at Greenglass House.
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: What’s your favorite winter-themed or holiday-themed book cover?"the only one i can think of is moon of the crusted snow by waubgeshig rice
My favorite winter-themed book cover is The Bear and the Nightingale. I also really love the cover of Greenglass House.
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: What’s your favorite winter-themed or holiday-themed book cover?"I like The Snow Child cover (and story too).
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: Do you read more or less during the holiday season?"usually i read more. december is typically my best reading month, but i feel like i've been in a weird reading mood all year lol
During the winter I feel like I read more, but during the actual holiday season I feel like I read less. I watch Christmas movies and spend more time with family during the holiday season.
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: If your current read were a Christmas song, which one would it be?"i don't know of any that would fit lol
My current read, which I'm almost finished with, is Home for Christmas. I think mine is pretty easy. The Christmas song that would fit best with my current read is I'll Be Home for Christmas.
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: What’s the most festive book cover you’ve seen?"i don't read holiday themed books, so i never pay attention to their covers. the only one i can come up with is candy cain kills by brian mcauley because i wanna try and read that one next week for fun
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: Do you read more or less during the holiday season?"I read less during the holiday season. I have several traditions that we do with our friends and family every year, so it keeps me pretty busy on the weekends!
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: What’s the most festive book cover you’ve seen?"The Christmas Spirit by Debbie Macomber
One of my favorite snowy book settings is the atmospheric winter scenes in The Bear and the Nightingale.
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: Do you have a favorite snowy or icy book setting?"i read leech by hiron ennes this year and it was a great gothic wintery setting
I've set a few goals for this year. I didn't hit my goal of 100 books last year, so I'm going to try again this year.
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: What's a goal you've set for this year?"Bookwise: try urban fiction. (But I think this might be too gritty for me.)
Otherwise: take more walks.
