It looks like you didn't mention the GR author specifically in post 120
If you include tickets in a total I can't tell what are new requests and what are totals
I'll pick it up now that I know but please remember the posting requirement

It's fine to include more than one newly completed task in a post but if you do so the tasks must be listed in numerical order, lowest to highest. Please review the Posting Requirements effective Fall 2014 and then repost your tasks in numerical order.

Kristina, I do not see where the genre "children's" is appearing on the main page. I have looked at several editions and none of them have that genre listed, including the link that I have for the book I read. Please help me by clarifying where you see "children's" listed. Thanks!

It was on the main page. The problem is the number of 'genres' on the main page changes which is a pain. It was the last genre when the page showed 9 or 10 genres.

I am clearly missing something, because even when I click on "Genres," "children's" doesn't show up until the bottom of the second column on the next page. In my mind that means it is not on the main page, nor is it the 9th or 10th genre. Am I looking in the wrong place?

The problem is that the listings on the later pages are shelves to which people have assigned the book - as far as I can tell, GR aggregates shelves to make up its main page genres - in this case, when you aggregate "children," and "childrens," (separate listings on the first page of shelvings) you get a larger total number than when you look at them separately. They may even add "childhood" and "childhood favorites." Also, keep in mind that not all shelves will ever be considered "genres" - things like wish list, to buy, library, etc. are not there. So, just because the specific shelf "childrens" isn't until the 2nd column, doesn't mean it won't aggregate to enough to reach a main page genre.
It would be nice if GR would clearly explain how it does all this!

Thanks everyone. I'll just put this book somewhere else. I have looked on my laptop, my nook and my phone, and "children's" does not show up on the main page of any of those devices. But, since other people can see it, I guess it's beyond my control. :)

No need for that. It doesn't show up right now even tho it did when Kristi reviewed it. So, verify it now as not childrens, then repost - and you're good to go.

Sandy's right, you don't need to do that (unless you want to). All you need to do is get it verified in the Genre Verification Thread as not having "children's" on the main page OR look it up on AR Bookfinder and repost providing the information for children's books that are spelled out in the Rules of the Challenge.

Task 5.9 requires that you state your native language(s) as well as the original language of the book. Please repost with the required information.

That works, too. Now all I need is a repost indicating which post it was verified in so I can pick up the points. ;-)

We have quite a few Megans in the challenge. Please repost with your Readerboard name at the TOP of your post. Also, when you repost, make sure your tasks are listed in numerical order, from smallest to largest.

Breaking Rules and Mad Tinker's Daughter do not appear to have print versions on Goodreads. Please see the Rules of the Challenge for information on the requirements for ebooks with no print editions and then repost these tasks (make a NEW post in the completed tasks thread) with the required information. No need to repost task 20.6. Points for that task have already been recorded.

The Graveyard Book has the genre "children's" on the book's main page. All books with children's on the main page must be accompanied by the AR Bookfinder data as spelled out in the Rules of the Challenge: Effective Fall 2014. Please review the rules and then repost (make a NEW post in the completed task thread), including the required information. Please DO NOT edit or delete post 2798.

Peter Pan has the genre "children's" on the book's main page. All books with children's on the main page must be accompanied by the AR Bookfinder data as spelled out in the Rules of the Challenge: Effective Fall 2014. Please review the rules and then repost (make a NEW post in the completed task thread), including the required information. Please DO NOT edit or delete post 2799.

Task 25.7 is a two book task (all 25- and 30-point tasks are 2 book tasks). Please post this task again when you've finished both books. Both books should be posted together.

Oh, for heaven's sake I didn't even realize I forgot to say it was a GR author! Thank you very much for changing the tally. :-)

I noticed on comment #267 in this thread that it was requested I link to the print edition of a book to claim the Big Book ticket for post #1246.
Post #1246 is not my post. My post is #1242 in which I read and linked to the print edition of the book.
It appears the readerboard is correct that I have 2 big book tickets (and all other points are accounted for accurately), just wanted to give you an FYI.
Thanks!

Whoops, sorry about that. We fans just know him as Robert or Rob. I will submit again for a qualified task.

Books whose main page lists any of these genres: Sequential Art, Comics, Comic Book, or Manga may only be used for 5, 10, and 15 point tasks unless specifically allowed by the task creator. Task 25.2 does not have a graphic novel exception so The Crystal Shard: The Graphic Novel will not work for this task.

Reminder: to claim big book tickets when reading an ebook or audiobook you must include a link to the print edition used to determine length

Task 25.3, option 2 requires a three word title that doesn't not begin with "The" or "A." The Winter's Tale won't work because it the first word in the title is "The."

All posts for points must contain links to the books read. Please repost including links.

The help thread for task 30.1 has established that only domestic cats and dogs work for Option C.
