Karen M | 1436 comments I just finished reading Mr. Mercedes and an ARC of Beyond the Horizon. Both were really good reads. Now I've returned to two favorite protagonists Mr. Arkady Rendko Havana Bay and Robert Langdon Origin. I am a happy girl!

Alice | 3827 comments I am reading Murder at Crossways (Gilded Newport Mysteries #7) by Alyssa Maxwell by Alyssa Maxwell. Cross between a cozy and HF mystery.

Set in 1898 Newport, RI. I like this series a lot.

Finished The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman last night. Really enjoyed this one, though I was so into the action in one of the final chapters that I nearly missed my bus stop. Hate it when that happens. 🙄

Spent a portion of yesterday reading I'd Rather Be Reading: The Delights and Dilemmas of the Reading Life by Anne Bogel. At only 145 pages and short chapters, this was a quick, easy, and enjoyable read. I can not recommend it enough to anyone who loves books and reading.

Karen M | 1436 comments I was in a Christmas mood for a couple of days so I read Dashing Through the Snow (1st Debbie Macomber) and Christmas at Little Beach Street Bakery. Both were sweet sentimental stories. Back to spooky with a re-read of We Have Always Lived in the Castle. For BC I'm reading Dutch Girl: Audrey Hepburn and World War II which is more history than Audrey and I'm just starting The Danish Girl.

Karen M | 1436 comments The Danish Girl was pretty interesting. I read an ARC of The God Game and it was a THRILLER! I loved it. Now I'm finally get around to The Nightingale, well, I'm listening to it at last. I'm about to start reading The Witch Elm for my book club.

Stayed up late Wednesday night to finish The Well of Lost Plots by Jasper Fforde. I had a difficult time getting into this third book of the series. Thankfully, the second half of the book (especially the last quarter) went much faster than the first half.

It seems like I enter over one hundred giveaways before I receive one. Don't loose heart.

Karen M | 1436 comments I finished The Nightingale this morning. I luckily was listening to it because I had to take my glasses off and keep drying my eyes. Had a good cathartic cry. Now I'm listening to Full Throttle and I doubt I will need any tissues! LOL

Wasn’t that an excellent emotional read?
