Hi Rubina!

First of all, thank you so incredibly much for your question and for you and your 8 year old reading the Dragon of the Month Club book. I'm really excited to hear what you think when you write your review.

Your question is a good one. I guess the answer would be that I was trying to have Ayana and Tyler speak reverently of the book as something that changed their lives forever. It was such an enormous and huge event for them that the only name they could give it was: THE BOOK. (Capitalised like that, of course, because it was such a major event in their lives.) I suppose you could argue that the "proper" name of the book itself was actually "how to conjure your very own dragon in six easy steps" but that is kind of a long title and sort of weird so it isn't as starkly impressive as simply THE BOOK, neither does it convey the same sense of momentous change that Ayana and Tyler experienced. To them it would always be THE BOOK and in their heads they would always imagine that name written in giant stone letters on top of a hill like some kind of monument.

I hope this answers your question. Thank you again for asking it. It's always good for you to make me think about things I've written.

Hello there.

The next Kitty Hawk book.... let me see... Well, right now I am working on the second book of the Wizards Of Waterfire series, then after that I planned to write the second book of the Dragon Of The Month series, then after that it was on to book #6 of Kitty Hawk. I already know where she will go. Egypt.

Also, to answer your other questions... Taylor Swift's luck number 13 is the reason for thirteen books in the Kitty Hawk series! You are right!

And the Mystery of the Masterpieces... You are right that the ending leaves some questions unanswered. And maybe you're right that some day we'll find the answers. But don't you also like that Kitty Hawk doesn't always figure things out completely in the end? She's only human, after all, right?

Thank you for these questions, #1 Fan!(less)
