When You're Not Reading a Cozy
I just finished reading Mr. Mercedes and an ARC of Beyond the Horizon. Both were really good reads. Now I've returned to two favorite protagonists Mr. Arkady Rendko Havana Bay and Robert Langdon Origin. I am a happy girl!
My review for
Kitty Hawk and the Icelandic Intrigue by Iain Readinghttps://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I'm reading an advance readers edition of Big Lies in a Small Town
byDiane Chamberlain so far I really like it.

I am reading
by Alyssa Maxwell. Cross between a cozy and HF mystery.Set in 1898 Newport, RI. I like this series a lot.
Finished The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman last night. Really enjoyed this one, though I was so into the action in one of the final chapters that I nearly missed my bus stop. Hate it when that happens. 🙄
Spent a portion of yesterday reading I'd Rather Be Reading: The Delights and Dilemmas of the Reading Life by Anne Bogel. At only 145 pages and short chapters, this was a quick, easy, and enjoyable read. I can not recommend it enough to anyone who loves books and reading.

I was in a Christmas mood for a couple of days so I read Dashing Through the Snow (1st Debbie Macomber) and Christmas at Little Beach Street Bakery. Both were sweet sentimental stories. Back to spooky with a re-read of We Have Always Lived in the Castle. For BC I'm reading Dutch Girl: Audrey Hepburn and World War II which is more history than Audrey and I'm just starting The Danish Girl.
Currently halfway through
The Beasts of Tarzan by Edgar Rice Burroughs, book 3 in the Tarzan series.
The Danish Girl was pretty interesting. I read an ARC of The God Game and it was a THRILLER! I loved it. Now I'm finally get around to The Nightingale, well, I'm listening to it at last. I'm about to start reading The Witch Elm for my book club.
One non-cozy this week:
The 19th Christmas by James Patterson and Maxine Paetro https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Stayed up late Wednesday night to finish The Well of Lost Plots by Jasper Fforde. I had a difficult time getting into this third book of the series. Thankfully, the second half of the book (especially the last quarter) went much faster than the first half.
I am reading Amish brides I love Amish stories ...even tho they are a romance type of book they are not a sappy romance book

I finished The Nightingale this morning. I luckily was listening to it because I had to take my glasses off and keep drying my eyes. Had a good cathartic cry. Now I'm listening to Full Throttle and I doubt I will need any tissues! LOL
