Nancy H | 1111 comments Hi Mary-Megan,
Here are your picks. You have a lot of good ones on your list, and I may have to add some of them to my own TBR list! I used a lot from your list but also added some of my own that I thought you might enjoy, so you have a couple of extra ones. (If you don't want that many, just ignore them.)

message 62: by Sonja (new)

Sonja (sonjac) | 1364 comments Hi Suzanne!
Yesterday got away from me and I only just finished my picks last night! We had a lot of books in common - unfortunately you'd read most of them already! LOL And I'm absolutely floored by how many books you've already read! Hope you find something good here!
The Easter Bunny:
🐰 TBR Beyond the Highland Mist (Highlander, #1) by Karen Marie Moning
(fantasy, man on cover) And I've been planning to read this one too!
🐰NEW The Girl from the Paradise Ballroom by Alison Love
(couple embracing, children) Great book!

An Easter Basket:
🍫 TBR Archer's Voice by Mia Sheridan
(standalone and outdoor scene) Such a wonderful read, you must!
🍫 TBR/NEW Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco
(YA, scene on cover) Audrey Rose (the MC) might be a bit immature, but the story itself is a fascinating take on the very famously unsolved serial murders. I’ve read the series so far and the second book is my favorite. They’re dark and mysterious, but interesting, as is the chemistry between the MCs.

Egg Hunt:
🌼 TBR Duchess by Deception (Gilded #1) by Marie Force
(secret, bright colors, series)
🌼 TBR A Promise of Fire (Kingmaker Chronicles, #1) by Amanda Bouchet
(series, brightly colored cover) Fascinating story! Not sure why I haven’t continued with the series…

Marshmallow Peeps:
🐤 TBR Tempt Me with Diamonds (London Jewels #1) by Jane Feather
(group of friends, enemies-to-lovers, blue/pink/yellow cover)
🐤 TBR The Mountain Between Us by Charles Martin
(over 1,000 ratings, friend-to-lover and blue cover) Saw this on your TBR shelf and thought to encourage you to read it. I really enjoyed it, much better than the movie! (Don’t see the movie first if you haven’t! And if you have seen the movie, forget it when you read this!)

Family dinner:
🍞 NEW/TBR The Perils of Pleasure (Pennyroyal Green, #1) by Julie Anne Long
(family, funny, dark cover) It was actually on your TBR since 2012 and I enjoyed most all of this series so thought I’d bump it up on your list!
🍞 NEW Flirting with Felicity by Gerri Russell
(food industry, funny, family) Yep, I recommend this one every time food is involved. Such a sweet story!

Church:
TBR Fancy Pants (Wynette, Texas, #1) by Susan Elizabeth Phillips
(TBR list for long time, wealthy character) And on my TBR now too!
NEW The Warlord's Wife (Sons of the North, #1) by Sandra Lake
(historical, wealthy/royalty, building sort of on cover) One of my favorites for a number of reasons. The history, the characters, the well-written story and the series is fab!

Easter Bonnet:
👒TBR Silent Night by Danielle Steel
(movie industry, 4.0 or higher, pastel colors)
👒 TBR Ain't She Sweet? by Susan Elizabeth Phillips
(satisfies all!) I’m reading this one this month as well. Care to buddy read?

Lamb:
🐑 TBR Sweet Inspiration (Klaus Brothers, #1) by Penny Watson
(sweet character, small town, white cover)
🐑 TBR/NEW Of Beast and Beauty by Stacey Jay
(Small town, animals in story, white on cover) A fascinating YA, loosely related to the Beauty and the Beast story.
Happy Reading!

Sorry, I thought most of them were first in series! I just looked and messed up The Ivy Year series - I had The Year We Fell Down on my list, but my brain typed The Year We Hid Away... 🤦🏻‍♀️ And for the Immortals After Dark books, the first, The Warlord Wants Forever, is more a prequel and was written after A Hunger Like No Other. It messes me up all the time! 🤷🏻‍♀️ Sorry about that!

Mary-Megan | 2325 comments I'm sorry Jamie but sign ups ended a week ago. Unless someone is willing to do picks for you, you're too late. I unfortunately cannot do them due to other obligations today. Also, the list you post should be books you want to read. It looks like you just read the books on the list. Maybe just wait for next month - sign ups usually start around the 20th.

I'm still new to all the groups and still learning the ropes.😊

Romanticbookworm | 410 comments Jamie your picks for this month are as follows:

The Easter Bunny: Much like how Christmas has Santa Claus, children line up in malls to get their picture taken with the Easter Bunny who will leave them baskets of goodies and hide eggs in their yard on that special day.
Recommend a book that either:
🐰Is tagged paranormal or fantasy or
🐰Has only a man on the cover or
🐰Features children or students or
🐰Has a couple embracing on the cover

TBR - The Thief (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #16) by J.R. Ward (paranormal)
NEW - Storm (Ashes & Embers, #1) by Carian Cole (Man on Cover)

An Easter Basket: Sometimes the best part of a holiday is the goodies you get, right? An Easter Basket is given out on this day filled with goodies - usually chocolates and fake grass that gets everywhere.
Recommend a book that either:

🍫Is shelved as YA or NA or
🍫Has an outdoor scene on the cover or
🍫Has a green cover

TBR- The Summer of Sunshine and Margot by Susan Mallery (outdoor scene)

NEW - The Warrior Queen (Guinevere, #1) by Lavinia Collins (love this series - Green cover) or Tumble (Dogwood Lane, #1) by Adriana Locke (green cover - heard good things about this author)

Egg Hunt: Aside from leaving a basket, the Easter Bunny tends to leave eggs hidden around the yard for children to hunt. Coloring eggs is messy yet fun tradition.

⛪Has a building on the cover

TBR - First Drop of Crimson (Night Huntress World, #1) by Jeaniene Frost (on tbr longest)

New - Surprise Delivery by R.R. Banks (wealthy Character )

The Easter Bunny:
Storm (Ashes & Embers, #1) by Carian Cole Storm - Carian Cole
I absolutely loved this story. It was so sweet and sad. This was the first time I've read anything from this author.
I definitely recommend this series.
And at the end of the book I was totally gutted with what happened to Storm's cousin Vandel.
Thank goodness I don't have to be anxious waiting for his book it's the next one.
Guess what I'm going to read next? Yep I'm reading Vandel's and I'm probably going to bawl my eyes out😭😭😭😭

Lamb:
Like Dragonflies by K. Webster Like Dragonflies - K. Webster
Just finished this book, And OMG It was such a Wonderful, Sad, Happy, Intense and Angry book... I loved every bit of the journey this book took me on. I recommend it 💯% It is a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Read

Church:
Surprise Delivery by R.R. Banks Surprise Delivery - R.R. Banks
I was pleasantly surprised with this book, I was pulled in from the very first page. Duncan was a genuine and perfect man. Lexi on the other hand I just wanted to punch her in the throat.

Easter Bonnet:
Mr Spencer by T.L. Swan Mr Spencer - T.L. Swan This is the first time I've read anything by this author, And I really enjoyed this story. I laughed so much reading this book. But I did feel like it need more detail about her mothers death.
