Wasn't a problem! I was up anyway. If I'm awake again next week, I'll roll again if folks want me to.

We are going to make a good captain team!"
Yay! Indeed we will, Nan! Thanks for the well wishes! I'm used to the migraines, but I was happy when I woke up this morning and didn't have one!
Thanks for reposting it in the proper spot for me. Might be better if we do it that way, just as a formality, since you're the named captain.

One of the best things I like about this challenge is that sometimes it gets you out of your box of normal picks...
And now to go download the book! Happy reading all!

Oh, I didn't realize! Cool! I'll figure out where to post the rolls then.

I will be reading

I absolutely loved this series! (just finished the 4 the book this month) I hope you enjoy it.

I can't wait to read your review of this book. I have this book waiting on my Nook and couldn't decide between

I'll let you know! I'm in the middle of Hypnotic Seduction, but I should finish that sometime today and will start on Hard as it Gets.

I read some M/M but not exclusively. If we get a 3, I need to read My Regelence Rake, plus I can always go into the With or Without series that I've only read the first novella of.

I have read a few M/M books. At some point, I will finish reading the Cut & Run series. I get most of my books from the library and I have not seen many M/M books. I get my ebooks from Overdrive and I have seen more on there lately.

Yay!!! Thanks for letting me know! Going to go crack it open now!

I read M/M's too, but I like to read series in order, and don't have any #6's available! You have good company Nan!

I loved this book! What Happened in Vegas did not stay in Vegas!
This is the first book in the "Stage Dive" series.
Evie and friend were in Vegas celebrating her birthday. She wakes up hungover, with a man, a huge ring on her finger and a new tattoo! This is a romance about learning what you want in life, taking time to listen to your partner and of course....SEX.
I love the characters in the book, Mal was favorite; I can't wait to read his story. The only thing I did not particularly like was how quick the "I love you" came into the story.
I will definitely continue with this series.

Thanks jingles!
My mom had a medical procedure yesterday, so I spent a good 2.5 hours reading while I waited. It was the perfect time to start a new book/challenge. :)
Hope everyone is enjoying their book!

Task: Series Book #6
Agatha Raisin and the Terrible Tourist|M.C. Beaton

Read from: 08/30/14 - 08/31/14
Rating: ★★★★
Brief Review
Book six in the Agatha Raisin series finds Agatha out on a wild goose chase to find her former fiance James Lacey. Soon though, Agatha and James both become suspects when a tourist is murdered. Then things get even more dangerous when someone starts trying to kill Agatha. True to form Agatha is crazy, funny, mean spirited at times, and just down right obnoxious at others. This was a quick and fun read. I look forward to book #7.

Review:
I struggled while reading this book. Most of the time, I found it quite boring and wanted to quit, but I kept with it. By 70% in, things were getting interesting enough that I was able to read the rest of it in one sitting. By the end of it, I understood why the beginning of it was so slow to get started. I can tell that this will be a series that is very, very connected to previous novels, and that you won't be able to understand things if you hadn't read what had come before. That realization made me appreciate the slow start the book had gotten off to. Becca is a very honorable heroine, despite what her father may have done prior to his death. Nick is hurting from the actions of her father, and yet he still comes to Becca's aid, and eventually falls in love with her. Nick does tortured hero very well. The rest of the Hard Ink team was intriguing to see in action, and I'm somewhat eager for their stories as well. All in all, a decent read, but moves at a slower pace than what I enjoy.

British noble Cameron Sherrington has hit rock bottom. The love of his life, opera sensation Aiden Lind, is marrying another man, and Cam knows it’s his fault for pushing Aiden away. As if that’s not enough, someone is trying to take away his family business, and the US authorities are pursuing him on charges of money laundering. Fearing for his safety and unable to return to London, Cam runs, but he’s too broke to find a place to stay, and his fugitive’s life doesn’t even remotely resemble a Hollywood thriller.
Desperate and betrayed by the people he thought cared about him, Cam takes refuge in the subway station where Galen Rusk plays his trumpet for tips. Though Cam hears the beauty in Galen’s music, it’s Galen’s firm hand on his shoulder that stops him from throwing everything away. Their unusual relationship takes a turn that surprises them both, and neither man is sure he wants the complication. Galen is fighting the ghosts of his past, and Cam has his own nightmares to face. When Cam’s troubles threaten to tear them apart, Cam figures he had it coming—that it’s all penance due for a life lived without honesty or love. But he never considered the possibility that he might not survive it.
There was something missing in this book that was in the others in the series. I didn't feel the conection with the MCs and because of this I also didn't feel the conection to the story. I know I should have felt sorry for everything Cam had been through in his childhood as well as his adult life but the emotions just weren't there. All I could think of was the saying Karma's a B*tch and I look at what Cam had done to Aiden and others in his life to hurt them and I just couldn't feel bad for him.

Is anyone else anticipating our next roll? I will admit, I am a book geek. I am already looking at titles for my next read. :) I look at the next 12 spots, see the alternate choice and look through my to-read list. This makes me HAPPY!! LOL
Just sayin'

I'm looking forward to the next roll too, but I never thought of doing this! I'll have to check it out in the morning and plan out my reads!

Shaw and Rule are about as different as two people can be. Rule works in a tattoo parlor, is edgy, and unapproachable. Shaw grew up being a close friend of Rule's family, specifically of Rule's twin brother. She is studying at the local university, drives a Beamer and is all about cashmere and pearls. The story takes place a few years after Rule's twin brother dies. Shaw has a secret - she has secretly been in love with Rule since she was a kid. How can she get Rule to nice her as other than a family friend? Do opposites attract? And if they do...how long can it last?
This was a great read. Rule is broody, and thinks he has all he needs until he starts to see Shaw a little differently. His brother's death haunts him and his family has been steadily disintegrating since he died. Shaw comes from a family that is all about money, power and position in the community. They care little about her except who she ends up marrying...and Rule is not on the list. A modern day Romeo and Juliet, this book gives it all, romance and sex, in a story about discovering what is important in life, and what is worth fighting for. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a romance book with a good story.

Thanks! Always fun to have a new series to read! Getting excited about the next roll!

What is the best way to look for books written in 2001? I have tried using listopia but the books I find I want to read do not have a pub date of 2001.
Thanks for the help.

Thanks again.
