Thank you.
PS: Could this also be done by an ordinary librarian (i.e. me)? If so, how?

Done.
Try the "Edit Quote" option on the quote page.

It has a 'like' so we wouldn't normally remove it. Does it need editing?

https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/1276... (Sartre Jean Paul) This listing for the author leads to a lot more quotes that may need to be merged
https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/3179... (Jean-Paul Sartre)

Anyway, this quote needs editing to say:
“It's all right," said Wolf. "You loved her. I would feel the same if someone wanted to erase Scarlet's identity and give it to Levana's army. And can you please add some tags? It's currently only tagged "wolf." It should also be tagged "love," "scarlet," "iko," "thorne," and "lunar-chronicles."
Scarlet stiffened, heat rushing into her cheeks. He certainly wasn't insinuating . . .
"Aaaaw," squealed Iko. "Did Wolf just say that he loves Scarlet? That's so cute!"
Scarlet cringed. "He did not--that wasn't--" She balled her fists against her sides. "Can we get back to these soldiers that are being rounded up, please?"
"Is she blushing? She sounds like she's blushing."
"She's blushing," Thorne confirmed, shuffling the cards. "Actually, Wolf is also looking a little flustered--"
THANK YOU!!!
EDIT/UPDATE: I think I may have just discovered why I can edit some but not other quotes. Am I correct that I canNOT edit those quotes that have over 500 likes? But under 500 I DO have permission to edit?

Thanks for confirming, rivka! Will you be able to update the quote, as well? I see it hasn't been done yet. Thanks!

Which I'm getting ready to do, but a question about the Colfer quote that just quotes King...delete? Reattribute? Leave as is?
Edit: Ok. I can't combine because trying to look at all the King quotes just times out the page. Anyone want to tackle this?

Which I'm getting ready to do, but a question about the Colfer quote that just quotes King...delete? Reattribute? Leave as is?"
Done.
The main King version is a QotD so we cannot combine into it. The other variants (added by people who don't know how a search engine works) are combined here but the number of likes has not been updated (a known bug):
https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/9906...
The one that said:
“BOOKS ARE A UNIQUELY PORTABLE MAGIC.” —STEPHEN KING”
― Chris Colfer, Beyond the Kingdoms
did need reattributing to Stephen King. This type of not-really-by-me quotation is getting more popular.
The separate "Love is a uniquely portable magic." is combined here
https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/5487...

This quote https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/3153... is attributed to Frankl, but he is explicitly quoting Nietzsche:
https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/137-...
The Frankl record should therefore be combined with that of Nietzsche, but both have too many likes for me to edit.
Also, the Nietzsche quote is from his book, Twilight of the Idols: https://en.m.wikiquote.org/wiki/Fried...
Thanks

No. The quote doesn't need deleting, it needs flagging to support so that they can delete the person who added the quote. I'll do it.
Edit: spammer deleted

Done, and also another small edit. Not deleted; it is too good for that.

The reason you could not see volume 1 was that it was combined with a variety of other editions. I've separated them and combined them, I hope correctly, but it might be a few hours before the drop down is updated.

Instead of "They were talking (perceptibly) as they stood [...]" should be " They were not talking (perceptibly) as they stood [...]".
Thanks.

Done

I could only see one quote. Removed.

someone has created an author page to quote an entire song (called 'one crowded hour') from a band called 'augie march'.
is this allowed/usual?
this is the first time i have encountered this on GR, so wasn't sure how it should be handled.
thank you!!
author page: https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...
band video (to confirm lyrics): https://youtu.be/LejMbZjZUvk

My apologies for creating work, but unfortunately I submitted my quote as:
"I a writer is not offending someone, then they are not doing their job."
And it should read: “If a writer is not offending someone, then they are not doing their job.”
Any help fixing this typo would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Patrick

No. Deletion pending. Blank author profile will be removed by the cleanup script.

i didn't think so. thank you, rivka! :)

has a typo. It should be "out of all whooping", not "out of all hooping."

Actually it looks like hooping could be correct; it's on mit.edu (http://shakespeare.mit.edu/asyoulikei...), in google books, and in my own print edition.

Even though it had a respectable number of likes I've removed it since song lyrics are not allowed.

Not sure if this was never removed (because I asked to have it removed previously) or if it was and then was added again. If it's the latter how can I avoid this happening again? I noticed this other Elizabeth Reyes has several books published. I don't want our books getting mixed up.
Thanks!
