Good collection ... unless you mean the actual short story, which is also good. (view spoiler)

My favorite Hartley is probably his most famous, "The Visitor from Down Under," a nuanced and beautifully written ghost story.

Kill the Queen (Crown of Shards, #1) by Jennifer Estep

I keep on reading fantasy, well lately I haven't really been good with reading this summer, but yeah.. this is supposed to be a bit of Game of Thrones meets the Gladiator, lefts just hope there will be no character assassinations.

It was awesome. IMO Crouch's best novel. In my review, I said it should be enjoyed by fans of Michael Crichton, Peter Clines and "Black Mirror".

Christopher Conlon (goodreadscomchristopherconlon) | 531 comments It. Though I've read most early King I've somehow never gotten around to this behemoth. My Kindle tells me I'm 25% in; I'm enjoying it, I guess, but this glacially-paced novel is wa-a-a-a-ay too long.

It’s scary.

Just started The Woman in Cabin 10. It's been a while since I've read a thriller. I'm going to find it interesting to compare and contrast the story-telling methods of a thriller vs. horror.

When I first read 1984, it seemed to me a little farfetched that the government would be spying on boring average citizens. I mean, how interesting is it watching people looking at the boob tube? But these days, with China using facial recognition and phone-tracking to keep an eye on the movement of all its citizens, it's starting to look like old George had the right idea. Loved the scene in Room 101.

Paul Pappas | 10 comments I am currently reading THE FACE OF FEAR by R.J. Torbert. I'm only a few pages in, but so far it's a very good book. Based on what I read so far and the fact that I know R.J., personally and I know he's a good writer, I would definitely recommend this book.
