Eclipsed my record for books read in a year, so may as well get one or two long books I've been avoiding out of the way.

Anyway, for the holidays I've started The Ghost of the Mary Celeste by Valerie Martin. I read Martin's Mary Reilly and the collection The Consolation of Nature and Other Stories years ago and enjoyed them, so it was time to revisit this author.

Erin, I gave it 3 stars. It's the first of a series, so not much really happened. I did like it enough to continue on.
For short stories, I'm starting UrnTold Tales of Horror and Dread: A Scary Short Story Collection. It's a new to me author-I have high hopes.

NOS4A2 - Joe Hill, about 80pages in and really enjoying it.

Ten years ago, the world ended. A virus swept the planet clean, wiping out 97% of the world’s population. Only the wary survived.
We gather our resources in communes clinging to the harshest environments on Earth. Food is scarce and the well’s running dry. Our days are numbered.

Started this last night, heard a lot of mixed reviews but so far it seems decent! But a lot of people said it started strong and then went downhill so we will see xD

Pretty sure this is where they got the idea for the show Santa Clarita Diet.

Bit of horror and comedy judging from the reviews, but I usually like Strand so looking forward to this one!"
Ooh, I read that a few years and got a kick out of it. I hope you do too!
