I started Joe Hill's new comic series:
Basketful of Heads (2019-) #1

Hoo, boy. Glanced at that and read "Basketball heads." Well, that set off some cognitive disharmony.

Anyway, for the holidays I've started The Ghost of the Mary Celeste by Valerie Martin. I read Martin's Mary Reilly and the collection The Consolation of Nature and Other Stories years ago and enjoyed them, so it was time to revisit this author.

Erin, I gave it 3 stars. It's the first of a series, so not much really happened. I did like it enough to continue on.

For short stories, I'm starting UrnTold Tales of Horror and Dread: A Scary Short Story Collection. It's a new to me author-I have high hopes.

The Outsider - Stephen King, nearly 2/3rds through and currently loving it, will wait to read it all but from what I've read so far is King at his best.

NOS4A2 - Joe Hill, about 80pages in and really enjoying it.

Pretty sure this is where they got the idea for the show Santa Clarita Diet.

Took a break from horror to read several novels by the great Irwin Shaw, but have returned to the fold with Black Butterflies by Kurt Newton (a re-read) and Ramsey Campbell's The Parasite.
