Some great stories in that. I read about half of the collection one December, then finished it the following December. Great ghost stories for winter and Christmas.
Right now reading The Victorian Chaise Longue -- this actual edition -- almost finished and not quite sure what to think of it. It's well-written but hasn't engaged me like I would have liked.

Ahhhh! That's a rough one.

It's my second book by Mr. Straub. The first being Ghost Story which is one of my all time favourite books.
I'm hoping for great things.
No pressure!

*Squeak* LOVE that tale! I hope you do too!"
I liked it well enough.

An anthology of good ol' fashioned ghost stories. Thus far, they're pretty good, but my Cthulhu, the book is almost 800 pages. It's taking foreverrrrr to get through it.....

LOL re: 'my Cthulhu'!

This man has a way of reaching into your psyche and making your guts twist in fear. I love it!

That sounds like great fun. Currently reading E. Nesbit's In the Dark: Tales of Terror by E. Nesbit. So far, besides the more traditional ghost stories, there are a couple that I'd call proto-weird tales, and one that could have been written by Robert Bloch, if he'd been born British 50 years earlier.

My 2nd Adam Nevill read this month. Really enjoyed Banquet for the Damned. He's so good at building up a spine-tingling sense of dread.

Yep, and really good as well. Loved it.

I love this book and have taught it a couple of times. Totally different from the film.

I saw the movie in the theater when it first came out. I only remember the very beginning and the end. Which is good so I don’t compare the two while reading.

I just read it this year, I thought it was a ton of fun."
I don't read a lot of creature horror books. I figured I'd give this one a shot.

That book is funny as hell!

Christopher Buehlman is a favorite author of mine, hope you enjoy it! If you do, I HIGHLY recommend
