Deb Omnivorous Reader | 1929 comments I just finished an interesting book The First Time Lauren Pailing Died by Alyson Rudd a debut novel by Alyson Rudd

'Interesting' because while it is a very well written novel, with heaps of very high reviews, if I had to describe it in one word, that word would be 'Aimless'.

Of course, I do not have to describe it in one word; I used heaps.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9973 comments I wasn't entirely convinced by the protagonist in Alice Feeney's second novel, I Know Who You Are, but it's undeniably a page-turner. Thanks to HQ Fiction

Kylie you've linked to the book's profile, not your review.

PattyMacDotComma | 3297 comments Kate Atkinson is one of my favourite authors, and while Transcription isn't my favourite of her books, her trademark fine writing and quirky humour make it fun.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9973 comments Such a Fun Age by American author, Kiley Reid is touted as the "must read" of 2020. Often, these books don't live up to the hype, but I believe this one does. I absolutely loved it!
Thanks to Bloomsbury Australia, also NetGalley and Penguin Group Putnam.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9973 comments Wow! Aussie author Heather Rose's latest, Bruny is so very topical, often just a whisker away from what we have now: scarily believable.
