Such a shame this is the one you read after your break! Hopefully the next one is better. :)

HAHA thanks krystal! Can only hope the publishers don't sue me....
I just finished The Messenger by Markus Zusak, one of our most-acclaimed Aussie authors. This is written for young people, but like all good novels for the young, it's just as enjoyable for adults.

This short short story will delight anyone who loves how books and libraries change lives! A Witch’s Guide to Escape: A Practical Compendium of Portal Fantasies by Alix E. Harrow is available free online and well worth it.

I can't believe this is the first J.D. Robb, I've read this year. They're always so much fun to read that I should be reading one every week. My review for #18 in the series

4 stars for
Identity Crisis by Ben Elton. While I enjoyed this it definitely won't be to everyone's taste and I'd recommend trying an older satire novel from this author before picking this up.

Tomorrow (Monday 15th) is when fans of Graham Brack's the Josef Slonský Investigations series can get another fix: the 6th book, A Second Death, is still 99c on pre-order until then. Thanks to NetGalley and Sapere Books, I got an early read and I happy to say it's another excellent dose of our favourite Prague detective.

Just finished The Magicians' Guild by AA Trudi CanavanI used to read a lot of Fantasy, but in the last 10 years hardly any at all. I enjoyed this first in a series, makes me wonder why I stopped reading this genre! (might have been because I got tired of lugging big thick books around - this one not so big, but you don't notice in ebook form anyway!)
