Melissa (Mel’s Bookshelf) (melsbookshelf) | -37 comments AVOID. LIKE. THE. PLAGUE!!

Hi everyone, back after a long break attempting to ace my masters without bookish distractions!!! Holiday time = book time!

Finished The Seduction Expert (The Seduction Expert, #1) by Saya Lopez Ortega and wish I hadn’t! How this book has such a high rating is beyond me! I have heard of some questionable behaviour from the publishers. Let me know what you think of the reviews!

Such a shame this is the one you read after your break! Hopefully the next one is better. :)

PattyMacDotComma | 3297 comments I just finished The Messenger by Markus Zusak, one of our most-acclaimed Aussie authors. This is written for young people, but like all good novels for the young, it's just as enjoyable for adults.

A very scary premise and I liked the inclusion of social media, it’s a big part of our life now.

Carolyn | 9836 comments I can't believe this is the first J.D. Robb, I've read this year. They're always so much fun to read that I should be reading one every week.

Brooke - One Woman's Brief Book Reviews (onewomansbbr) | 752 comments 4 stars for Identity Crisis by Ben Elton Identity Crisis by Ben Elton.

While I enjoyed this it definitely won't be to everyone's taste and I'd recommend trying an older satire novel from this author before picking this up.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9975 comments Tomorrow (Monday 15th) is when fans of Graham Brack's the Josef Slonský Investigations series can get another fix: the 6th book, A Second Death, is still 99c on pre-order until then.
Thanks to NetGalley and Sapere Books, I got an early read and I happy to say it's another excellent dose of our favourite Prague detective.

Krystal (krystallee6363) | 2304 comments Assassin's Apprentice by Robin Hobb was a little too dull for me, which is a shame because it showed a lot of potential in the last 50 pages!

Kerri_M | 590 comments Just finished The Magicians' Guild by AA Trudi Canavan

I used to read a lot of Fantasy, but in the last 10 years hardly any at all. I enjoyed this first in a series, makes me wonder why I stopped reading this genre! (might have been because I got tired of lugging big thick books around - this one not so big, but you don't notice in ebook form anyway!)
